Persona 4 RP Phase 2

Chiaki smiled and dodged the shot with minimal effort, right before it hit her face. it almost looked as if she barely moved.

"..Eh? When did you...?" Maeko started, retracting her harpoon blade, a puzzled look on her face.

"Hehe. This is what i want to train you two in. Reflexes. You dont have to be the fastest person to react to attacks as proficiently. Using the least amount of effort, allowing no time window for the enemy to respond and guard themselves, thats vital for anyone with a weapon. The opposite can be said, letting yourself get caught open can be fatal." Chiaki said with a serious tone

"Well, I don't do a lot of combat...I'm a volleyball player...Not a boxer or something..." Dahni responded, swaying a bit on her feet.

"I see..I didn't know you were a fighter." Maeko replied. "So how do you intend to train our reflexes?"

"The easiest way. Through experience." Chiaki said. "Ready?" she said as she ran at the two.

"Im ready! I hope!" Nene shouted spinning her rod.



"Are you serious Ban?" Yomiko asked.

"Yep! The kid's too slow! I know you're a bit of a speed demon so teach that punk a think or two!" Banchou said as he light a cigar.

"But.......I have to hit Yomi?" Masuyo said. "Tch. This is gonna be hard."

"Not for me." she said cracking her knuckles.

"..." Maeko watched as Chisaki charged her, as she got closer she jumped to the side and rolled, then held up and aimed her harpoon.

"There!" Nene said as she tried to strike Chiaki with her pole. Chiaki then planted her right foot hard on the ground and did a half spin, kicking up a wall of dirt between herself and Nene. Due to her vision being impaired Nene completely missed and fell forward, Chiaki snatched her rod from her grip and threw it at Maeko.

"..So what do you want me to do exactly? Fight you?" Dahni asked.

"Simply put, yes. Nothing to brutal or fancy, just enough so that I have a grasp on your abilities." said Tamaki.

"Yeah, it is." replied Shinta. Before long the two reached Karin's front door,"Well...here we are." Shinta sighed and slowly opened the door. Mai was calmly sitting in the living room drinking tea. "Good Morning, you two."

"Good Morning, ma'am." said the two.

"I hope you realize what you're getting into." she warned, "My training is nothing like the others. You'll have to keep on your toes and be ready for anything. Can you do that?"

"Ye-" "Wrong." Shinta was cutoff by an airsoft pellet to his knee, "If you could, you would have avoided that." Shinta fell to the ground and clutched his knee.

"O-okay.." Dahni stood around awkwardly. "..so like...this?" She raised her fists.

"Sh-shinta-san!?" Tsubasa shouted as she knelled down infront of him. "Are you alright?"


"Do I really have to fight Yomiko?" Masuyo asked again.

"Che!" Banchou said as he blew out a puff of smoke. "Fuckit, Tama was the "Mr.Perfect" of our group, im sure he can handle ya for today kid. 'Sides little Miss Yomi, you need a tutor too right?" he said cracking his knuckles.

"Its been a while. Hopefully I wont disappoint you." Yomiko said getting into her battle stance.

"Left side o the house kid. Tama is over there." Banchou said. "Skedaddle!"


Masuyo slowly left the front yard. "......I cant help but feel pathetic. I cant handle that guy but Yomiko can? What worth am I to her then?? No! None of that! Obviously I'll become a weapon of mass destruction and then show her how awesome I am later!" he said fully motivated as he ran to where Tamaki's group was. "OIIIIYYYYY!!!!!!" he shouted waving

As the dirt settled Maeko noticed the rod comind towards her, she attempted to block with her harpoon, but the impact of the rod on her harpoon knocked it out of her hands. "Ngh!"

"Alrighty." Chiaki said clapping her hands together. "Maeko-chan, good job. You analyzed the situation enough to realize that there was a risk of shooting Nene-chan with your weapon had you not waited for the dirt to settle. At least I wont have to worry about training about teamwork and looking out for your partner." she said smiling at Maeko.

"Booooooooo" Nene said standing up with her face covered in dirt. "I sucked!"

"Its okay. Its not like you two are going to be incredible within five minutes. Another lesson i want to teach, I was the weapon specialist back in the crosses. Everything.....and ANYTHING was my weapon. You noticed how I took Nene-chan's rod and used it as my own against you Maeko-chan? Such a quality gives one an incredible edge in battle. If you stick with just one thing, if you lose it, the results could be horrible. But if you make the entire environment into your weapon, and you master your reflexes and reaction time, you can be the biggest asset to the team. And a team that knows they can rely on one another and have each other's backs without a second thought is more victory bound." she said with a smile

"Just relax. You should fight how you feel comfortable fighting." advised Tamaki before hearing Masuyo's call, "Hey. What brings you here?"

"I got expelled from asskicking 101." Masuyo said with a shrug. "So transfer student Masuyo Mito at your service. Whats the subject over here?" he asked the three

"...Me fighting." Dahni said, still in an awkward boxing pose.

"Looking out for my teammate..? I..didn't even realize I was doing that.." Maeko mumbled. "I see. Thank you for the advice." Maeko said, bowing.

"Thats good! It means you're naturally fit to fight with a team." Chiaki said to Maeko.

"What now???" Nene asked.

"Honestly its you two's pick. What do you want to learn first? Using the environment or reflexes?" Chiaki asked.

"Hmmm....." Nene thought to herself.


"......I see." Masuyo said. "Since when were you a boxer?" he asked.

"...I'm not." Dahni said. She put her fists down. "...I dunno how to fight! I've never been in one!"

Masuyo groaned. Then what in god's name did she expect to do in the TV? I mean yeah theres personas n all but its not all about that.... "I guess you just have to discover a fighting style before you can train huh?" he suggested

"Well...That's what this was all about." She shrugged."..Maybe you could help me?"

"Nope." he said picking his nose with his pinky. "I fight with a toy. I cant teach nothin from that."

"Hm...maybe, maybe not. Masuyo, why don't you two to spar for a bit? Let's at least see what ability she has for now, then build up on that." suggested Tamaki before turning to Karin and tossing a shinai at her, "As for you Karin, why don't you warm-up with a few practice swings?"

"A-aniki! Does this mean that...?" asked Karin with a bright smile.

"500 swings."

"Yes, Sir."

"I will be." answered Shinta.

"Reflexes. If that's alright." She said, bowing again. She turned to Nene.
