The Avengers

No one has made a topic about this which I'm surprised about so I decided to make one. Since everyone has most likely heard about this I want to know how many of you are going to see it and if you are how many times.

Probably just once. I'm excited to see it, but I'm not doing midnight release and such. Just probably going a few weeks into it. Lol.

I'm kinda tired of Superhero movies TBH, but that doesn't look too bad. I don't think I'll see it though. *hasn't been to a movie theater since Shrek 2*

I can't decide how many times I'm gonna see a movie till I've seen it once and know it's good!

Man, I'm jealous. I went with a friend to see Safe instead, and it sucked.

Went with my brosuke. Then went with my homance and her gay friend. Then went with my mom. THREE.

saw it last friday. it was good, but it was odd how detached all the characters seemed to be. its so they can share the spotlight, i know.

I thought it was alright.

Loki's motivation was a bit...meager.

Also, the only major death in the film, and it was my favorite character.

I even love the actor.

Though there is an arguable theory that Coulson is still alive.

To be fair, they explain Loki's behavior as being the result of the whole falling through the universe thing that happened at the end of Thor, but yeah...compared to his Thor self he was a bit...less composed.

Well I didn't see Thor (a crime that will be remedied soon enough) but from what I know about Loki, he's pretty much predestined to bring about Ragnarok after a one night stand with an ogress or something and he knows it. He's pretty much just the god of pranks, but the whole Judas complex thing he has going can really mess with a guy and it gets out of hand. Ironically making his attempts to thwart fate (i.e. fuck over Odin and Thor) a self-fulfilling prophecy of sorts. You pretty much tell a kid he's naughty his whole life then ground him when he fulfills your expectations.

The way loki is in the thor universe, he was basically an outsider. So it feels like he never grew out of his teenage angsty phase.
