just browse around and post in topics that interest you. or make new ones. it's a very low key forum (a polite way of saying no one comes here) so just engage in whatever conversation strikes your fancy. to join the RP(s) all you need is a character post in the related planning topic. and a believable first post for "the stage" forum.
