"Be loud. you're already good at that" Carl said rolling his eyes.

"Okay since we have our lure, everyone needs to hide, and cover your eyes till you hear a gunshot." Adrian said, "To protect your eyes from my trap, once the gunshot goes off everyone will have to start attacking it since it will probably start thrashing madly when I blind it."

"Well then you guys hide and I'll do this so I won't die of blinding light and bigfoot beating me to death..." He waved his hand across his eyes and darkness covered them... he then threw his hood on, "This should do. Alright... tell me when you guys are ready and you might want to cover your ears."

"Ehhh we're ready" Masu and Carl nervously said in unison. "Why cover our ears?"

Adrian nodded put earplugs into his ears and went and hid among a nearby rockpile and waited.

".................................this is boring." Masu complained.
"You said it" said Carl as he dusted some dirt off of his sister

It had been several minutes, and the gang had yet to move. Odd.
They were talking amongst themselves, but I wasn't close enough to make out what they were saying.
Should I try to move closer...?
No, best to stay put. If this really is a group of violent teens, the safest option is to just let them pass.
Still...these guys are the only clue I have as to where I am now...
Hmm.
I'll give it some time and see what they do. I'm used to stakeouts like this- one time I had to lay motionless in a dumpster for seven hours...
But this is no time to reminisce. Maybe I can make out what the group is discussing if I listen carefully.

He put his hands on both pistols that were hanging on the holsters behind him, "Alright!" he threw them both in the air, and spun around. Ice crystals formed around them as with a loud "WOOSH" like air was being sucked into them. About 12 were made around them and they weren't very big. He caught both pistols and said, "bang!" He shot 3 crystals and each of them made a piercing loud "SNAP" and exploded. "HEY BIG GUY!!!" he yelled, "FRESH MEAT RIGHT HERE!!!"

What the hell was that noise!? Are they firing at something!?
Great. So they do have guns.
But what was that about...fresh meat?
It's like they're trying to lure a big animal, or something.
If so, they aren't going about it very well. Animals run from loud noises.

...There had better not be any dangerous wildlife nearby.

"....................." Masu began drooling as he drifted off to sleep.
"HEY! Do you guys hear that!? The stomping is coming towards Satoshi! Carl shouted waking up Masu.
"YEEARYGH! I WASNT SLEEP. I SWEAR!!!" he shouted

Adrian readied his flare at the loud noises, with luck this monster would fall easily.

(AWRIGHT SINCE THIS IS OUR FIRST NPC. I HAVE ADDED AN NPC CONTROL SYSTEM TO THE RULES SO WE CAN GET THIS FIGHT ROLLING. THIS FIRST NPC WILL BE SHARED CONTROL AND ALL CAN CONTROL IT WITHIN THE BOUNDS OF THE LAST POST. I.E. TELEPORTATION. INSTA-KILL, LAST POST DID SOMETHING NEW POST CAN'T DO. ETC. ETC. He saw it, stomping loudly towards him. It looked like an over-sized chewbacca "HEY CHEWBACCA CAN'T CATCH ME!!!" He moved an ice crystal with a wave of his hand to it's face and shot it. another loud piercing bang came forth and the monster yelled and covered it's ears. "YEA!!! I'M MAKING THE NOISE!!! CHASE ME!!" he waved and ran towards the appointed area of the ambush, "Get ready guys!!!" he said as he ran past the huge monster angrily running into the area after him.

The monster that appeared in the area surprised Adrian it seemed like it was some kind of monster covered with fur, he smiled as he let his flare loose it let off a blinding light that filled the whole forest. The monster wailed in pain and began to clutch its eyes. Pulling his gun out he shot it in the nose giving the signal that it was safe for everyone to attack.

He put an arm up to cover the light... "Wow... that's bright..." He then ran up to the monster as it was clutching it's face and fired at it unloading whatever was left in the clips into the monster. The monster yelped and started slashing around violently searching for it's assailant.

A monster.
An honest-to-God-monster.
Seems as though these guys are here to kill it. I don't blame 'em- it's ugly as sin.
But that wasn't the only thing that was odd.
When the thing made all that racket, I snuck a peek at it just in time to see an ice crystal float around in the air. It looked as though the one in the trenchcoat was somehow directing it.
Is this some kind of technology, or is that guy a mutant or something? Also, where the hell am I?

The kid in back had launched something that flared brightly, blinding me temporarily. More of this same technology, perhaps?
When my eyesight returned, I saw the beast lashing out violently.
Look at the claws on that thing! It could probably rip a man apart with a single blow.
It looks like this group is here to kill the beast, and not to inflict violence on random people. If that's the case, I oughta help them out- that thing looks pretty dangerous, and it's getting closer to the guy in the trenchcoat.

I went into a crouching position, aimed carefully and fired a shot at the back of the thing's neck, which should be vulnerable. My vision was still slightly impaired from the flash, but the beast was only a few feet away- I'm pretty sure I was on target.

"Carl! Lets go!" Masu shouted as he charged at the beast from the front.
"Are you crazy? You aren't agile enough to dodge a frontal attack!" Carl shouted
"Shut it! I know what im doing!" Masu replied to Carl as he whacked the monster in its groin with his staff.

"............" the monster just stood there quitely.
"Sooooooooo it has no balls?" Masu asked perplexed.
"GRAWAEEEERRRRRRRRR!" the monster furiously roared as it then swung one of its monstrously large claws at Masu at a speed no one could have expected.
"Shit! I cant dodge this!" he shouted. "This'll hurt, but better than getting slashed into pieces!" he shouted as he then quickly got on all fours, and shot a blast of fire from his hands which propelled him away, but at the same time slamming very hard into a tree. "GAAAH!" he shouted as he fell to the ground.

The monster for some reason, was still fixated on finishing off Masu, as it dashed past everyone else towards him.
"Not so fast!" Carl shouted as a lance looked to appear behind him from within his cape, impaling the beast's leg causing it to fall and cry in great pain.

Adrian seeing a window open he came out of his cover and took aim at the monster who was being distracted by Masu and Carl, He shot the back of the monsters head hoping it would kill it, but this seemed to only annoy the monster. "Damn..." he thought quickly and drew his katana, he didn't like close engagements but this thing was probably going to have to be taken down by multiple damaging attacks.

It looks like they have the monster beat. Looks like it's resistant to bullets, at least in the neck, so I might not be able to help much here.
Still, wild animals are most dangerous when they're cornered. I'll keep an eye out from back here in case I need to step in.

"W-well waddya know?," Allen's eye twitched as he hid behind a tree observing the battle and chuckling nervously, "so it wasn't just a rumor after all." Allen clutched his forehead wondering what to do, his staff trembling in his hand. Worst of all those four were fighting it and the battle seemed too close to call. "Waitaminute," Allen calmed himself down, smirking to himself. "Those guys seem strong enough right? So I just have to get out of here quietly. I don't even know why I'm here. Alright. I just need to...need to...need...to..." Allen paused for a moment. He knew what he wanted to say and knew what he wanted to do, so why couldn't he go through with it? The choice was so simple, and yet, "...Shit."

"........shit." Masu groaned as he rubbed his head. "That was close. I haven't been in a real dangerous fight in quite a few months" he said while standing up. "CARL!"
"On it!" he shouted as he materialized a slightly large gear in front of him.
"Eat this!" Masu shouted as he used the lightning to pull the gear towards him, impaling the beast's back as he then began to use all of his energy to make it begin to rotate and grind away at it's flesh.

What are they doing to it?

That's...pretty disgusting.

"It would be pretty nice if satoshi stopped sitting around and DID SOMETHING" Masu said agitated

Adrian ran up and slashed it hard in the back of the legs, this seemed to agitate the monster somewhat and it turned its attention to him. He smiled as he began to dodge its attacks and back off. It swung wildly till he lured it to a tree and it smashed its trunk causing it to fall forward on top of the monster. Adrian stood back with his gun ready the tree was not going to do this thing in but hopefully it would hurt it.

He had set up a small table and was calmly drinking tea, A blanket under the table and his boots sitting next to him. "You guys seemed to have it handled from what it looks like from here..." he laughed, "but since your complaining seems like a cry for help." He waved a hand and the crystals flashed blue. he waved again at the now crushed by a tree monster and the rest of the crystals pierced into it's body... It cried in pain and threw the tree off the crystals sticking out of it's body... he then drew a pistol and shot at each one... They all exploded Ice and spread throughout the Monsters body slowly freezing parts of it. Blood dripped from where the ice exploded and he seemed to finally be giving up. "You guys finish it off i'll just relax here..." He took another sip from the tea... "Ahh."

"Insane...these guys are insane." Allen stared in disbelief at the battle, which was turning more and more into a slaughter with each attack. It makes one wonder, is the monster really that weak or were the guys fighting him unbelievably strong? One things for sure, they certainly don't need any help here.
