Women happen to enjoy people being themselves, when doing so means you aren't acting like a douchebag. Women generally enjoy guys who are clean, which should be a part of your lifestyle anyways because it's healthy for you, and no one wants to hang out with someone who smells of ass.

Take it from someone who actually has a lot of luck with the ladies, and actually has a fiancée.

this is true being clean, also they like to have the full attention of men all the time. You ignore them even a little bit and you ain't getting anything from them.

General hygiene is one thing, but the argument here is that w/out rock hard abs, shorts and a tee don't seem to cut it with the ladies. Anyway congrats on the fiance dude, and don't forget one of those prenup thingies.

But seriously I'm forced to admit even guys put a lot on looks. Actually maybe more so, though I wouldn't call a guy shallow. Shallow suggests there's ways for improvement. Dudes aren't shallow, we're simple. It's all yes/no reactions and there's a certain ratio of how good a girl looks before personality becomes a factor. Even guys w/ strong feelings feel them one at a time. I kinda lost my point, but I thik the rage here stems from the fact that our hobbies keep us from getting girls in a way that looks and general good temperament don't seem to fix. Granted some of us myself included may be rageing more than putting as much effort as possible into it, but you have to calculate if its really worth it.

is it really worth going through all the trouble just to look pretty (like japanese males trying to be bishies) so u can get a pretty girl (who u probably have absolutly no common interest with)?

To be serious for a while in this spam area...yes, physical attraction is a strong part of desire. This whole "I'll love you even if you're an ugly beast" thing only exists in fairy tails. No girl or guy would want to date someone hideous. That's not to say that people won't appreciate just normal looking or slightly unattractive people of the opposite gender, just that you'll barely find anyone who is willing to go out with a mutilated walking corpse, or something. And if you do, that person is a saint. So yes, good looks play a strong part in attracting the opposite gender. It's the first thing they see of you, and it's not shallow at all to look for or appreciate good looks in a partner. The shallow thing is to just care about good looks and not much else.

And besides, good looks aren't "just looks" since, as you may have noticed, the way a person dresses, styles their hair, the kind of perfume they wear, etcetera etcetera, are all a window into one's personality. Some even go so far to say that Judo masters can tell the personality of a person from the way they dress.
