Sengoku Basara Samurai Heroes

So i've been playin this recently. Its awesome. Its basically dynasty warriors+devil may cry action+humor+Insane angry men with rage vengeance issues? (Probably only one, but its so huge that it gained its own spot.)

Its for the PS3, and surprisingly the Wii (and a game actually worth playing on the wii if you dont have a ps3). The only difference is obviously the graphics, everything else still plays the same and theres no console exclusive bullshit. Also its 2 players (but sofa co-op, not online)

Child abuse knows alot more about this series (this is my 1st one i've played, and it rocks and has gotten me interested in the characters and trying the older ps2 games and such) and I believe this series also has an anime. So if you like hack n slash action with a side of humor (and a few creepy characters) then i'd definitely recommend trying it out

I beat it finally, got her ultimate weapon instantly (the reason i kept dying was because I was hellbent on using the rare drop chance up item rather than a def up item) and fucked the shit outta Ieyasu and the old guy in the next few stages

yeah that happens on your first time on hard mode sometimes, well with Oichi it is really hard :/

.................so I just got Mitsunari's ending. Disturbing and depressing as fuck. It was so bad that im replaying Sailor Tsuru's story to counteract the depression

The only thing that sucks about this game is the lack of a playable Kenshin, and his english voice.

Sure he's pretty fucking slow in combat, but I think he's hilarious, and I can relate to him a lot.

Okay. So I love Yoshitsugu even more now.

After beating Ieyasu's path, I decided 'What the fuck?' and did Yoshitsugu's path, just to figure out what he even wants.


And I'm not even sure he does. I mean, he has a plan, and I know some of the details of the plan, and I know that probably ALL the people he works with are just pawns in his plans and he's probably gonna kill.

His plan is complex and ingenious, I'm not even sure what it is, and the whole purpose behind his goal seems extremely simple:

"Make everyone die horrible, painful, emotionally draining, awful deaths."

He's the biggest sadist I've ever come across. No other character I know comes up with flawless strategic plans just to ruin everyone else's fucking day.

I love Yoshitsugu. Even if it contradicts my love for Kanbe, and my hatred for Motonari Mori, who seems to be Yoshitsugu's only potential ally.

^In that case you'll absolutly love mori's ending. so yeah I just got through everyones first story and a couple alt routes. My favorite characters to play as are tsurihime, oichi, and masamune. personality-wise i havent yet decided.

I'm working on finishing first playthroughs of everyone. Then I can start working on the characters who I really like:

Kanbe
Yoshitsugu
Oichi
etc etc


I'm not really a big fan of Tsuruhime's combat style though. I mean, she's adorable, but I hate her combat style.
Except for that L1+Triangle charge arrow thing. That thing is pretty beast.

Okay, I've only played one battle with him. And I can honestly say;

Yoshihiro is the worst character in this entire game.

I mean, Motonori Mori is a complete dick. But at least he has a reason to be there. Yoshihiro is just there cause he's fucking old.

But that's not even why I hate him. I hate him cause this:

You ever watch the trailer? In it, it shows Iyeasu, Masamune, Mitsunari, and Yukimura, all showing off fancy battle moves, fast quick and awesome.

Now obviously they couldn't put everyone in the trailer, but while everyone had minor variations (Kanbe was slower, Tsuruhime was all ranged, etc etc) the battle moves for all the people were fast flowing and fun to watch.

Yoshihiro is like watching pacman. He runs around swinging his sword up and down. The entire time. You go into Basara mode, and he just swings it up and down faster. You press triangle, and he just swings it up and down slower and with the flat of the sword.

Thank god they made him an unlockable character. Cause if he was right on the menu to start, and you picked him as your first character, you'd return the game within 15 minutes.

I went through his shit as FAST as possible. I'm probably not even gonna play as him ever again. Even if he's my last % needed.

Also, it may be because I finished playing the shit that was Shimazu's path, but playing as Kotaro is a lot of fun.

I mean, the fucker flies in his jump. How cool is that? Shit HP though.
