Hurricane Irene

So, personally I think most of the hype over this is a distraction from important news. Taking the heat off the government and our MASSIVE DEBT CRISIS.


Anyway, not sure how many people are being affected by this, but I know, being on Long Island, I'm probably gonna get hit. I'm also supposed to be going up to school this weekend, but that's gonna probably be delayed till Monday.

My point is, if I'm not on Sunday it's probably due to a blackout. If I'm not on Monday, it's probably due to my commute to school. If I'm not on for a week, then Devil Survivor happened and I'm using my 3DS to summon demons and kill Irene.

If I'm not on for a month, I'm probably dead. But that's unlikely.

"That hurricane is tomorrow"

and I said "Well i hope the world gets destroyed. Wait Xillia in 2 weeks, world is spared for 1 month"

Yeah my school's move in was delayed 2 days to the 30th. Just gives me time to do more random shit.

Not sure how strong the hurricane'll be when it hits everyone, but I hope you guys stay safe and all that.

Eh, we'll be fine. This isn't our first hurricane after all.

lack of electricity and internet.

its gonna hit us at like 85mph but up where lyle is, its gonna be at like 75mph, but hes taking the brute of it where as us in the northern west side of VA isn't gonna get it by that much. Its just gonna be a big storm that will definitely knock trees over since I've seen like 20 million trees bending over all the time and looks like to will fall at any moment

weve had damage to our yard before. outdoor furniture got destroyed or blown off, not to mention plenty of tree limbs down. but that's the extent of any storm damage. im not worried ._.

That was actually my biggest fear during Ike too. Lol.

I have all my handheld gaming platforms charged. So I should be good. But I gotta save some juice for the trip upstate. D:

Well, things are picking up. It's pretty much gone down to a vain hope that we'll keep power here. There's an average 40% chance of a tornado on the island, which would be pretty bad. Dunno how likely that is in our area, but the hope is everything will be okay.

If I'm not on for a few days, it's cause of that. I'll text Masu in the morning to let him know what's going on. Hopefully he'll be able to get on there.

I'd rather have the power go out than have the basement where I sleep get flooded. I sleep on the floor next to a couple of tangled power strips.

I just hope that my house doesn't get destroyed at this point.

The power is a secondary hope too.

2 things.

1. Why is it now that my ankle decides to pretty much sprain itself right before a bloody hurricane is supposed to hit.

2. As long as I don't make a bet about this everything should be fine.

Yeah its kinda windy and its raining kinda hard. but its on and off.

I just got home from James' and when i got out of the car it WASNT EVEN RAINING

People keep saying "its gonna get worse!!!!" I highly doubt it.

I lost power for a couple of seconds, I was about ready to kill myself because I couldn't find my charger for my ds ._.

So yeah. This was hyped up the asshole.

I mean, I'm sure it's better to be prepared than not, but still, this was waaaaaay blown out of proportion.

"TREES WILL GO DOWN! ROADS WILL BE FLOODED! POWER WILL BE CUT OFF!!" So far, only one tree has gone down on the island, the power is still on for us here, (though not across the street) and the roads looks damp. That's about it.

Dunno how long the power will last, but the storm is supposed to dissipate by around 2. So, so long as it holds out till then, we should have that.

we never lost power. it flickered twice when i was playing bassara at 3 am.

the skies are CLEAR AS FUCK

the wind is barely blowing.

And this is why i dont give a shit about storm warnings. Nothing ever happens. Jose was acting like the end of the world was coming over some rain, it was pretty hilarious.

Well I'm not surprised the skies would be clear, it was way past you at that point. It's not like hurricanes last for days, Lol.
