If and only if:

If Tales of Vesperia had an affection system, it would have been on my top 5 games of all time. I mean, that was one of the things I loved about Symphonia. It made the game feel more real that you'd be able to delve into certain characters' backgrounds more than others. And Vesperia's characters are very deep, I imagine that I would want to do a playthrough for each character, to get to know them better.

I swear by all that is holy, if those bastards on the PS3 get an affection system, and they don't make it downloadable content for us, I will murder everyone they've ever met.

Including myself. Cause they will have met me, when I decide to kill them. And then when they're all dead, I will kill myself.

Either that, or I'd put a gun to their face and force them to make downloadable content for the 360. And a GOOD sequel to the original Symphonia.

Seriously, and affection system is all Vesperia really needed. But that's a big thing to be a DLC.

The affection system is not a big deal but seriously, DLC for the added effect of Flynn Patty and Sword Dancer, I would love to have Sword Dancer in this game.

Really this is beginning to look like what they did with Symphonia on the PS2, that kinda ticked me off considering the GC version only had Lloyd, Colette and Genis pocessing an actual overlimit attack. Along with the extra sidequests and more costumes

Yeah. But they didn't even release the PS2 version in America. So it was like a double blow to us.

I have a PS2, I would have bought Symphonia for that again.

Seriously this whole console exclusivity thing is BS, really they should just release it on 360 and PS3 so they don't alienate a bunch of people who don't want to own a PS3

Yeah. It's a really big dick move for them to release it on the PS3, but for people who already have it for 360 get to suck it.

Even worse is if you don't HAVE a PS3, but you do have the 360, and are a big Tales fan. Like most of us here. We got the worst end of the deal.

And remember I got the collectors edition of the game and got a japanese version of the disk, I have like almost 200 hours into the game cause I had to translate the parts I didn't understand. Really I liked the VA in Japanese anyways cause THEY WERE ALL AMAZING AT GETTING THE EMOTIONS ACROSS.

Lol. Some of the American voice actors are good.

Zelos's and Kratos's were amazing. Lloyd, Sheena, and Genis were pretty good. Raine and Presea were good too. Regal was kinda bland. And Collette had some momments that she was awful, but in general she was alright.

And don't get me started on Yuri's american voice.

Estelle - Girlish tone that fits Estelle
Raven - Old man pervy tone that make him amazing
Judith - Awesome womanly voice that fits Judith's characters
Karol - Kiddy voice fits Karol perfectly, and sounded awesome in his overlimit
Rita - Amazing voice, not to girlish nor to adult fit Rita

If they made a sex phoneline with Judith's voice, you could bet I'd be ranking up the phone bill.

Hell, same if they made one for Yuri too.

You know who else had an awesome VA in the Japanese version, Duke he was amazing same VA for Ovan from the Japanese .hack

Duke had a pretty badass voice actor for the American version too.

Just when you think a person's voice couldn't get more male than Yuri's, along comes Duke.

I found that the VA for Ovan in the American release of .hack GU was Duke as well for the American Tales of Vesperia, thats kinda weird.

And holy. If we're talking about american voices, then let me tell you how I fainted in the presence of the holiness that is Yuri's voice.

I drooled every time I heard it. I'd be prefectly content to listen to it for the rest of my life.

I also loved the voice choices for everyone else.
- Estelle's and Karol's voices were irritating the first time I heard them, but now I think it fits them perfectly.
- I was a bit 'meh' with Flynn's voice at the beginning too, but now, like the previous two, I think it suits him pretty well.
- I adore Rita's and Raven's voices. They're second only to Yuri's. Judith's is pretty awesome too.
- Yeager made me lol whenever I had the pleasure of hearing him, and Gauche and Droite's voices were pretty nice as well. I prefered Gauche's much more, though.
- I really liked Sodia's voice. Shame she doesn't have many lines, though when she does it's usually all "BAW YURI I HAET YEW GET AWAY FROM FLYNN" D:
- There was this blue haired snobby lady in one of the Brave Vesperia side quests (who you can eventually arrest, I believe) whose voice was AMAZING. I wish she had more lines.

Actually, overall I think I prefer more of the voice acting in the american version than I do the japanese one. I'm biased though, cause I've heard very little of the japanese VA's and I have a crush on Yuri's, Rita's, and Raven's american voices. :D

It's pretty much who Lloyd end's up going on a journey with as either his "Best friend" in the case of guys or "love interest" in the case of girls.

So if Vesperia had an affection system, you could end up having a scene in which Judith confesses her love for Yuri while telling him about her parents or something.

Or Flynn could have a scene with Yuri in which he confesses his love for him, and while Yuri likes Flynn, it's only as a best friend kind of way, but he's cool with the fact that Flynn is gay.

Or something like that.

Actually, I do like Yuri/Estelle as cliche as it is, so I'd most likely go with that. Your Yuri/Flynn idea is equally appeasing though, lulz.

And please don't kill me, but I was actually entertaining the thought of Flynn/Judith, as strange as it is. And I know your thoughts on Flynn. XD

I dunno he is kinda prickish, and I dunno why but I would of preferred to get Sodia in my party over Flynn, Sodia might actually I don't know NOT BORE THE HECK OUT OF YOU, Flynn just borderline annoyed me cause he sounds like a freaking Nazi at the Nuremberg trials

Flynn's problem was that he didn't realize he wasn't the main character. So he kept demanding screentime and kept trying to impose his beliefs on the player.

Sodia's problem was similar. Except she didn't realize that she wasn't an important character. Oh she certainly tried to be, going so far as to attempt to kill Yuri. But in the end she was never important, and at the end of the game I presume she curled into a ball and weeped to herself.
