The RPG

So I'm supposed to be setting it up to work in the IRC/chatbox on here. Okay
First I want to know a few things from the people already in it tho

Do you want to start from the same place you're at now with the exact same characters? I'm going to be fixing the character making system so that there aren't as many weird restrictions like race because I think that system didn't work so good

Also is it fine if I roll for everybody, or is there some way to roll dices on your own, like in the chatbox itself?And if I'm rolling for everybody do you want to hear the result?

One time I made a tabletop RPG. It's loosely based on Dungeons & Dragons but I avoid saying that because Dungeons & Dragons is for nerds and I am absolutely not a nerd

It was popular enough to run for several years. Then I ran around and became emo so it kinda stopped. Everyone got mad at me

It was suggested that if I somehow set it up on here, it'd be easier for people to do it because then location wouldn't be an issue, and that could better accommodate work schedules and stuff.
So I'm trying to do that.
That's the short version

There's a bot called GameServ if you guys decide to make the channel on DarkMyst (since that server is specially made for RPing, iirc). I think it can help you with stuff like dice rolling. And if I'm remembering right, there's also a bot there to help with RPing.

You'll have to ask around the main channel for help with these things once you make the channel though. I don't ever use them, so I don't know much about them.

We should be okay using the resources on this site, but I'll look into those things you've mentioned, just in case.

Right now I need to know who's going to be playing the thing, so I know whose character information needs to be found and put on here.

I guess you could join if you haven't done it before, but you wouldn't really know what it is...
Ask me if you have any questions about it or want to know how to make a character.

I almost decided to drop the race requirement thing but decided not to.
The purpose of that is so there won't be biologically engineered angel vampires running around

True enough. I'm in a pretty rough place atm cause I feel like crap all the time but I'm still supposed to be working on this and several other projects at the same time.
So this is going to have to be put on hold for a while- but if a whole bunch of people really want to do this, I'm a lot more likely to start it up sooner

Hey no big deal. Actually I'd prefer you take your time. Never played anything like this before but it looks like the posts could get long. I've only been posting from my dsi lately so loading is a bitch. I don't have something better atm, so I probably won't be able to get into it 'til school starts back up or my godmother gets me a laptop(which would be for school so same time frame anyways). Anyway if you never get to it I was already thinking about how to put together an RP based on Fairy Tail, though I got no experience and I'm not sure if enough people'd be interested. What I really wanted to try was the Pokemon RP, but it looks untouched. Holy Crap! I was really long winded considering I'm typing with a stylus. Sorry if I strayed too far off topic.

CatBread, noone expects a masterpiece nor for things to be perfect (afterall, nothing is perfect), some of us just expect something, not the best nor worst, just something. (Besides, money couldn't hope to buy what happened those other times, those were hilarious & crazy!).

Seriously, we just want to play. We dont care how the board looks. We dont care. Just make a "plot" for the current stage we're on, some enemies n bosses, and we're good. Im willing to try helping again, but my time is obscenely limited, I in no way want to waste my time helping if you are just gonna trash 80% of our stuff because its not good looking or some shit

I guess I'm going to have to try, assuming you mean the real version and not the online one. But right now I feel like suck and can't think straight. Hopefully I can get my act together and do work soon
