Why do I do this to myself?

So, after reading Ai Kora this morning, and bumming myself out cause of the situation with Yukari, and the fact that she's gonna end up getting the shaft and the sloppy seconds of the series. Thus, making the subplot feel unresolved and ending unsatisfied.

So, I felt like shit. Then I watched Teen Titans. Watching the episode when Terra goes evil and gets killed trying to save the city. BTW, I hate Beast Boy for that.

So I always had a thing for Terra when I was a kid. Before Sheena came into my life, she was that girl. So watching the episode when she gets turned to stone permanently is another emotional beatdown. It doesn't help that Slade is like my favorite all time villian (Surprise surprise) and he dies then too.

So then I'm like: FUCKIT. And watch Hey Arnold. And low and behold it's the episode when Arnold realizes he's in love with the girl 'Lila' and she doesn't like him back. WTF.

Cartoons have officially ruined my day. And it's fucking 10:30 am. And if I start another paragraph with the word: 'So' I'm gonna make an English teacher cry.

I think you bit a bit too far into "characters" and "relationships" and things like that in shows and games sometimes well actually alot. Lol. I'm all for emotional attachments to fictional characters, but They're still just fictional characters, You just can't let something like that effect you and your RL THAT much. =/

True enough...but denying and ignoring your emotions, whatever's causing them, is a lot harder than it sounds.

Dude, i hear ya. Luckilly i havent i havent read ai kora yet so im not emo yet. Also theres nothing wrong with feeling for the characters in whatever you're watching/reading. Actually you're kinda lame if you just go "Psh they're not real" cuz thats just shitting on what the makers are trying to do:Make you feel for the characters.

I know, and that's fine. I'm not saying there's wrong with feeling for the characters, I just said I was all for it. I'm just saying you shouldn't let it get to you and mess up your real life so much. It could lead to bad/awkward situations if you seemed upset and depressed all the time.

Maybe I do get too attached. But still, this could happen to people I know and it would be the same thing.

The characters may not be REAL but they still exist. And so do the emotions.

Though we've had this discussion before. So let's not open old wounds.

Still, this pretty much fucked with me all day. I think I need to do a few matches of L4D later tonight. Nothing helps heartache like murder.

I cry/get depressed over manga all the time. Characters just feel more real to me than actual people. They're more honest and easier to empathize with...
Though, maybe that's why I don't have close friends.
