"YIP!" The Fox yelped to get Stefan to shut-up.

"....Come on, I can't sound intelligent for a minute?"

"...."

"Fine. Be that way."

"Thank you fox." Masuyo said as he flipped a 500 yen coin towards it.

"Yip!!" the fox caught it in its mouth and ran to the donation box.

"Where did the fox come from anyway? I doubt it could have been living here without anyone noticing it all these years," Hisoka turned to stefan and asked.

"Who knows?" Shinta shrugged, "Maybe it's one of those things that people don't think about asking. They just accept it."

"Who cares?" Masuyo said to Shinta. "Lets just go eat already." he said as he walked across the street into the diner with Yomiko.

"I never really thought about. I guess he's just the shrine's guardian..." Stefan said, watching the Fox trail off. "Maybe he's the reincarnation of an old man who spent his life dedicated to the shrine, brought back to dedicate his life a second time!!!" Stefan said with fake hysteria. "Anyway, I'm starved. Let's go eat!" Stefan jumped and ran to Aiya.

"Yo Jii-san." Masuyo said as he walked in with Yomiko. "..........hell. This place is a desert!" Masuyo said looking around.

"Aiyaaaaaa~" the owner said scratching his head. "Masu-kun, this place has been avoided ever since the incident with that ruffian shaking me down for money! You guys are the first customers in 3 days!" he said sadly.

"Incident?" Masuyo said outloud to himself. "Oh yeah, that chick was shot. Whatever, it was just her arm so its not like its important compared to Kishin."

"What happened?" Yomiko asked Masuyo.

"I dunno the details, it happened when I first met you. Ask Shinta if you want to know." Masuyo replied as he sat down and gestured for her to join him

"Dude. That sucks. This place has a great location too." Stefan looked at the menu, his mouth watering.

"It use to always, ALWAYS be packed." Masuyo said looking at the menu. "This is rather depressing." he said as he looked around the desolate eatery.

"Guess it can't be helped though," Shinta said as he took his seat, "once word gets out of that sorta thing you can expect business to suffer."

"If it's food is as good as it looks, then I'm sure people will eventually come back." Stefan slammed the menu down. "I'll have two steak bowls and a side of extra noodles!"

"Yeah im not payin for you." Masuyo said as he heard Stefan shout his huge order. "I'll take chicken fried rice." Masuyo said to the owner.

"I'll have plain ramen" Yomiko said after Masuyo.

"So.........yeah. How's everyone doin?" Masuyo asked as he took a sip out of his glass of water

"Just thinking bout stuff." Stefan watched intently as his meal was being cooked.

"Anything that can be spoken of in the presence of a lady?" Masuyo asked sounding like he meant perverted conversation, but really meant the shadow situation.

"Hm? Oh. Well yeah. Just thinkin bout my parents I guess." Stefan said. "Yourself?"

"Parents huh.........I wonder how those basta-er........how they're doing." Masuyo said thinking to himself.

"Parents? Ugh.........." Yomiko said becoming uncomfortable at the subject.

"Seems like it's a bad subject for all of us. ...But, they can't be all bad. I mean, we all turned out okay." Stefan looked over the group. "..Oh christ..." He placed his hand on his head and sunk in his chair.

"All in favor of a new topic..." Shinta replied nonchalantly.

"ME." Masuyo said angrily remembering his shadow. "Its like the fucker is still lingering somewhere inside of me.......laughing."

"Maybe because I am..........." a voice similar to his own echoed in Masuyo's mind.

"Dammit I thought I was done with you!" he shouted to himself.

"Awwwwww.........still dont wanna grow up and accept me? No wonder your power is so pathetic compared to your buddies. Im pretty sure thats why they get beaten and bruised so much. Because you're still worthless. Yer weak!" the voiced said tauntingly.

"No..........no........" Masuyo said outloud rubbing his head.

Shinta walked over to Masuyo and shook him lightly, "Masu! Get a grip!"

"Huh!?" Masuyo said snapping back to reality. "What the fuck.............was that?" he asked completely ignoring the fact that Yomiko was there. "He spoke to me Shinta. He's not gone yet!" he said fearfully.

"Masuyo.............what are you talking about!? You guys keep going on about odd sounding things and play them off as a dream or a game, but you're all hiding something arent you?" Yomiko said tired of the guys' charade.

Che, what an annoyin' girl. I should just cut her now an' save us the trouble. Wait what? Did I just... Shinta shook himself out of his thoughts and looked at Yomiko and the others, Only one thing to do. "I'm afraid this is where we part ways."

"That expression of annoyance............." Masuyo thought to himself remembering Shinta's shadow. "Shinta wait!" he said following him out of the diner.

Just as I figured, Shinta smirked before taking a more serious face and turned to Masuyo, "It was your Shadow, wasn't it?"

".....98..99..100! There I'm done with my exercise before eating, I guess I better go meet up with everyone over at the diner," hisoka said excited to eat. "Oh wait I guess I should leave a tip at the shrine for letting me stay here to exercise," he said while still excited.
