Re: Favorite movies
Just watched Pirates of the Caribean last night.
It was pretty awesome although the third one was too FUCKING LONG! (Three hours, jesus)
Anyway, good movies, good swordplay, fishmen.
Prolly some of my favorite movies.
Also, WHY IS THE RUM GONE

Re: Favorite movies
Transformers (1986, not the new garbage):
Amazing animation and soundtrack, intense action and a nice story. Though it has some inconsistencies and things like that, it's just...so good you can't really fault it for those!
The Last Samurai:
I mostly like it for the awesome Japanese actors and the amazing fight/battle/war scenes. The soundtrack is cool too. Overall, it's a really nice movie, even if historically inaccurate.
Mortal Kombat:
The best video game movie ever. And guess what, in some ways, it's even better than the game (who would've thought!). The biggest shock is that it was directed by Paul W. Anderson, the same person who screwed up the RE movies. The fight scenes are actually done pretty well, and most (if not all) characters stay true to their game-selves (this includes their combat style; indeed, Scorpion has his spear [except changed into a sentient snake that pops out of his palm which I think is sort of cooler], Sub-Zero used his Ice Grenade [from Mortal Kombat II] and Goro is a hulking, undefeated monster who is very accurately modelled after his game-self).
Dragonball:
This is the best comedy released in 2009.
Monsters Vs. Aliens:
I found it genuinely entertaining and funny. I expected something extremely generic, stupid and unfunny (like most 3D movies these days), but it pleased me by being...pretty cool.
Uhhhh I don't remember much else right now.
