A question if you will

I'm thinking about looking into making videos. (Some of tales games for the site, some just for my own entertainment.)

But I need to know information about it. I already asked Princess for her advice, but unfortunately her method won't work for me, cause I have a DVD player that doesn't allow for recording.

Thus, I must go for the video recorder card. Now, I know Masu and TLS are good at this, so if you guys could tell me how much a card would cost, where I could buy one, and what sort of methods I would use to be able to do such things, that would be greatly appreciated. (+ rep.)

I've seen some at best buy, I got mine at the apple store but they only sell the start up software for macs.

Ebay would be your best bet, but make absolute sure you get both the Card and the Software to set it up.

Dazzle Capture Card, the silver one.

It cost me about 99 dollars but it could be less/more expensive on ebay.

That's not a dazzle....

It might work but you'd need a splitter cable for it to feed into your tv and Comp at the same time.

I have no clue what that means.

Without a splitter cable you can only plug a system into either,

A. A TV

B. The Dazzle/Diamond/whatever capture card you choose.

You'd need a cable to split the feed into both at the same times.

As for the card, I suppose the one you linked to would work as it is a capture card, but if you want the good shit you need a Dazzle.

1. Capture Card.
2. Software for your PC to make the PC recognize the computer.
3. A spliter cable to split the feed from your games R,Y,W Cables to go into two sources (the TV, and the Capture Card, and by extension the PC)

DO NOT ORDER IT ONLINE, BEST BUY CARRIES THE DAZZLE CAPTURE CARD!
They also carry a 50 dollar version, less pretty features like "movie editing" and shit but does the same thing that the 100 dollar one does, and thats record video. You will need double ended composite cables (Red White and Yellow) and if your TV or whatever your system is hooked to DOES have TV output, then you DONT need splitters.

Windows movie maker works. Its free, and your computer should already have it by default. I have no damn clue about the splitters, I bought some thing at radio shack with like 4 inputs and 2 outputs, connected that to the tv and connected the capture card to that
