Plants vs Zombies

So arc convinced me to get this game this morning. Its a tower defense like game where you plant cute little plants in your lawn to prevent cartoon-like zombies from reaching your house. Its really funny and nice looking, and is only 7 dollars on steam. A great way to pass the time and damn addicting. If you have any spare cash, I strongly reccomend you try this, just for a nice little simple easy game to play to just unwind (im only on 1-10 in adventure mode atm so it probably gets REALLY hard later on though)

Its $10 normally I think, but its reduced even more until 12 PM tomorrow.

There are a bunch of fun little minigames that give you more cash, and a crazy dude who sells you crap out of his trunk. My brother says its kinda short though and once you beat the story mode you just replay it. But it unlocks a survival mode and other minigames.

Plants vs Zombies is one of the daily deals on Steam today (It's $4), so I got it.

By the way, there's a message from Crazy Dave on the wall of the safe room in The Passing campaign in L4D2.

So as it turns out this game is pretty good

I'm on the roof right now (World 5). The secret of winning is Wall-Nuts.
And when the pole vaulters come out, Pumpkins. (Or more Wall-Nuts.)
And then Pumpkins on top of Wall-Nuts. At this point you have won forever.

My favorite way to win a round is with the Doom Shroom.

I saved all my money and spent it on the 9th seed slot. I hope that was a good idea.
No way in hell I'm doing that for the 10th, though.

Next I have to figure out what to do with the Zen Garden, and what to try and buy in the shop next. I'm thinking Gold Magnets.

Also the game over sequence is pretty awful. Yes, game, I get the idea. You don't have to make the letters that big.
But if the zombie that gets past your defenses is iced from a Snow Pea, it's still walking slowly, and the crunching sounds start before it even gets in the door. Hahahahaha

I just found out there's an XBLA version of this with co-op and (appropriately enough) versus modes.
It got even better reviews than the PC version!

I'll give it a look.

There's also a DS version coming out this week but w/e
