Mortal Kombat 9

Comes out in April.

I'm starting to get more interested in this one. Mortal Kombat has always been completely retarded, which is a major selling point for me.

This recent video suggests two things:

1. This game is as retarded as the developers could possibly make it (HEADLESS KOMBAT)

2. There is a lot of single player content! Which is good because without that, there's not much I can do with a game.

So I'll be watching this one more closely.

What do you other people think about this here game?

It doesn't say that he's in the new one, though. Might be because of the uncertainty of leaks in general.

Anyways, nice find.

Fujin is the God of Wind. He's more or less Raiden's buddy, and I really like him actually, so it's great that he's in (if he really is).

Also, there are the two DLC characters, Kenshi and Skarlett (or however they're spelling it).

Kenshi makes me happy. He was one of the few post-MK4 characters I liked. And Skarlett...well, I have no idea what to think.

I dunno too many MK dudes past 3, and even then only due to cultural osmosis.

The first MK game I got was Armageddon for crying out loud.

But Kenshi seems pretty cool. He has one of the stupidest hara-kiris as well and being stupid is always worth bonus points in my book.

I dunno. It doesn't look that way from the trailers he's been in so far, if only because of his large range of weapons.

He even has a quick time action attack, which requires him to press buttons to complete the move. That's pretty funny.

And it's like Ed Boon and the guys said: If there was any other video game character who'd fit into the MK universe, it'd be Kratos.
He's all about the fatalities, from the limited amount I've heard/seen.

Yeah uh, Kratos is just a really boring character to me! He can have ten thousand other weapons and be the goriest person in the world and I would still be bored because that's his nature: boring.

I mean it's fine if you like him, I'm just stating my own opinion on him, so don't get emo or anything.

Naw, I'm not a huge Kratos fan. He just seemed like a good fit to me, and the MK development team apparently.

I guess he is mostly about yelling and not much else, when it comes down to it...at least, from what I've seen.

He is a good fit, because he's brutal and bloody and gory and stuff, but I don't like him anyway.

Some people are easily amused by stuff like that, I guess, so that's why he's in the game.

I was just surprised that a Mortal Kombat game has such a developed story mode. It's basically a big animated movie with fights in it.

The fight system even has all that gay combo shit you like. They got some pro gamers in their offices to show the team how to make competitive fighting games. If you get good at the game you can do insane combos that are much too long. I seen some on youtube.

Y'know what the best part of the game is?

It's got honest-to-God co-op, thanks to the tag team modes.

You can even play it with 4 people at once! Not many fighting games can do that.

I gotta play this with more people right away!!

Hit me up when its 30 bucks, then i'll probably grab it. I watched james play story mode for like 3 hours last night. Sonya has some rage issues.

My friend rented this for a few days so I was able to give it a try. Pretty sweet, they did well on delivering the old MK feel and the new combo possibilities are a lot of fun. Kinda wish I had a PS3, Id probably get this and go nuts with Ermac.
