Osama Bin Laden Killed

So, I know we're not really ones for serious political talk here, but when I saw the news, I felt a real strong sense of pride as an American that justice was served, no matter how long it took. You could argue politics about it forever, but I felt like this was worthy enough news to post a topic about it. It's probably gonna be all over the news soon enough, but still. It's kinda awesome.

For those of you whom are interested. Maybe it's just me. But as cliche as it sounds, 9/11 was the day that I probably lost my childhood innocence (or at least that initial spark), I think it was for a lot of people, the idea that there's people out there that seriously want to kill us, was pretty sobering for a 11 year old kid. It also could be because I live an hour away from the city, so it hit particularly close to home. So Bin Ladin has been some kind of boogie man more or less.
Honestly, I would have preferred to have him captured and interrogated, and tossed in jail for the rest of his life, but I'm not opposed to this outcome either.

So yeah, interesting piece of news I thought. Worth mentioning, but I don't expect it to be a long serious topic.

Unlike that topic where I yell at Namco Bandai. That's serious shit.

I dont really care. I had 30+ statuses on facebook from ppl like "YEAAAAHHH USA!" and "HES DEAAAAAAAD!"

so i made a status like "Lots of people are really happy about some guy being dead. thats rude."

Yeah, I heard about it last night. It was all over the news channels.
TBH, I don't really care one way or another. In one sense, it's nice to know they got him, in another sense, it's just "Okay,".
But poilitics isn't really my thing to begin with. So meh.

I saw this was on the news this morning and I just sat down and watched it all instead of getting food. My first reaction was "it's not april first, and even if it was this is a terrible joke". He's really dead. They compared his DNA to his late sister's DNA and it matched.

For alot of people it brings relief. For me it brings the hope that it's one less war to fight.

Also, I made a joke to a TF2 playing friend about how they should have gone pyro incase he was a dead ringer.

I was so tired of hearing about it today, everyone is running around at my school screaming about how awesome it is.

I dunno if it's really "awesome" it's just kinda an interesting piece of news. Maybe I'm looking a bit too far into it, but hey.

This is a good point. After all the failure and shit... we did something right and we didnt take any casualties during that navy seal operation. Those guys are badasses.

Well, it's just nice to see, that no matter how long it takes, justice will be served. I think that's something that as Americans, we can take pride in. Of course some people are gonna over blow it, but I think it's fine that people can celebrate it.

Depending of course, on how they celebrate it.

It's funny that you mention that, because a couple of days ago I saw an episode of Star Trek: The Next Generation called "Justice" and it was a planet with a bunch of weirdos that were way too happy and were all sluts. And when they tried to get everyone to have a vacation down there they found out that there was this punishment zone where you get executed if you do a crime in it. And they had syringes with poison and it was creepy
