hey, Hunter x Hunter is resuming

its been well over a year since the creator took another hiatus, which was his longest to date. rumors about his failing health and that kinda led me to think he wasnt going to do anymore with such a cool series. but i see new chapters on mangafox.

fuck yeah.

What's it about? Somehow I doubt it's a manga about steamy lesbian hunter action, which is mildly unfortunate.

Same guy who did yu yu hakusho and a couple other series. Hunter x Hunter's about a hyperactive friendly kid/idiot hero named Gon. He aspires to be a great hunter like his dad. Hunters are seen as the elite in society, and can fit many roles (not just hunting down animals). So he makes friends and works to get and keep his hunter's license. The whole time he's looking for his dad, and gets involved in really dangerous shit.

Something I like is that they dont introduce superpowers until a ways into the manga. Well, to the main characters. It is however a jump shonen manga so you can expect the same cliches. I just like it.

yeah I'm glad its coming back as well, when i first saw it I had realized it came back the week before I noticed so i had to catch up.
