The 6 god generals (SPOILERS)

I find it sorta lame that they had six of them, six party members for you, and all 6 of them had some sort of relation :/

Jade&Dist-Childhood Friends
Tear&Legretta-Her.......teacher or something?
Anise&Arietta-.......childhood friends or something?
Ion&Sync-Replica and Original
Natalia&Largo-Father and Daughter

And guy was left out to hang.

And then theres VAN who has crap like:
Luke&Van-Teacher and Pupil
Asch&Van-Teacher and pupil
Tear&Van-Brother and sister


Why did they feel to have so many connections between the heroes/villains? Thats pretty lame IMO. Its much cooler to just have some evil sons of a bitches who the characters don't know, and get development through the game through actual current events, not flash backs or one of your characters telling you said villian's past. THIS is why the grand cardinals and Mithos were cooler than the abyss villians, even if mithos was a whiny incestual homo bitch.

That was one thing about Abyss that I noticed right from the start. It played like it was assuming you had already played it before. And while that's good if you HAVE played it before, when you're playing it for the first time, it's like:
"Woah, wait, who is this? Wait, why do people in my party know this person on a first name basis? I've never seen him before in my life? Wait, what?"

And yeah. Abyss seemed to want to tie everything into eachother, even at the expense of making it so obvious with twists, and making things so cheesy.

If done well and in the right amount, I like that effect.

I'm guessing they wanted a change for once, many games are not like this, so doing this for once was kinda a test to see how it went probably

It kinda threw me off when first started playing it,

First time I seen Legretta, I was like oooo maybe she'll join the party, she knows Tear so why wouldn't she, OF COURSE SHE WOULDNT, she has guns and is too much of a Van Fangirl.

I wish dist would have joined, and just float around in a chair and shout random shit at enemies. Or ram them with the chair (kaiser dist is too big to see the other members XD)

Lol. I could imagine Dist doing that. Then him and Jade have a overlimit together.

Overlimits=Mystic Artes/Hi ougis. Like how Yuri and Flynn have a double overlimit in PS3 vesperia

Yeah having Dist would of been interesting, but he was entertaining as a boss though, really wasn't annoying and usually appeared whenever you thought he was dead.

They're exclusive to Symphonia games, as far as I know. Mind you, I've played every Tales game except for the DS ones and Radiant Mythology 2.

Radiant Mythology has unison attacks. and most of those pairings are right: Anise/Arietta are more like Rivals, sharing the same job of protecting Ion.

Indeed. Dist and Jade should have their own game, where they go around and take over the world, all the while bickering amongst themselves about which one is the greatest.

You'd also get to kill every other important character in the story, cause they all suck anyway.

Yeah but I don't really like her that much, So I felt like it was a big deal if I could beat them with my least used character.

Jade and Dist were the only characters I liked in the whole game.

And that other chick that was related to the two of them in some way. I forget how. But we only saw like 2 minutes of her anyway.

Largo was okay towards the end. At least he showed some kind of remorse for trying to kill his own daughter. But other than him, I felt absolutely no mercy for any of the other characters when any of them got injured. I even cheered when Ion died. And then got upset when I saw that they created another fucking Ion. Not as annoying, but twice as stupid and worthless.
