As adorable and futile as this passage seems, I think the kid has a good point. Part of it is me shifting into the old man stage of my life, but the games I played as a kid were way better for my development. Symphonia, Pokemon, Zelda. None of them were about killing innocent people for sake of whimsicality. They were well constructed anyway.

I mean, the call of duty franchise is just so...hack. Like, they haven't done anything quality with their stuff for a while. And it pretty much is just needless shooting. Yeah there's a time and place for that, but if you play it all the time, that's what turns you into a doucher. An average call of duty player embodies everything I hate about the negative connotation of gamers.

If you play Call of Duty multiplayer for more than 3 hours a day for more than 3 days a week, you need to reevaluate your life.

Its not even just games, Kids themselves nowdays are REALLY fucked up. There was shit in the news about a kid who tried to POISON his teacher with cupcakes. The little shit was a FIFTH GRADER. I probabaly didn't even know you could poison other people in fifth grade! And dont get me started on the shit with like, fuckin kindergartners and 1st graders bringing knives and guns to school.

I know when I was growing up (when i was 17 and older) whenever i'd see kids and younger teens i'd be like "This generation has gone to shit. its over" but hell. I didn't think it was THIS bad. I worry for any kids I might have honestly.

Actually the kid your talking about poisoning his teacher was a group of 3 people not just 1, although one of those kids did step up and said fuck this crazy shit and stopped the plan, but yeah I have little cousins all in europe, most of them are actually good but they party like everyday and they're not even 16 yet.

And all they did to the little motherfuckers was send them to another school.

For them to kill their new teachers.

The letter was cute. But the kid has a very good point. And I agree with what Masu has said. Kids these days need more discipline. I was at the park with my siblings and we saw two 12-13 year old girls smoking. And my sister said she was at the park once and heard a 7-8 year old boy yell "FUCK YOU!" to a little girl.

Yeah. I look at people my age too, people in COLLEGE, and they're just as stupid and disrespectful though. Just bigger and older. So do you think these kinds of people always existed? Or are they a new breed?

I think we can all agree that this kid, while probably a little too prim and proper, is probably a good role model for other kids.

I dunno. They may have always existed. I was so antisocial I didnt bother watching people. Then again now that I think about it one time in 11th grade our school had a thing where on mondays they'd sell slices of papa johns pizza to raise money for our year's all night grad party. Some guys went and bought a WHOLE pizza, took it to the bathroom (while I was in it) and took a piss on it saying they were gonna give it to a teacher they hated.

In college, last semester, someone pooped in the shower. We all assumed it was a drunken idiot, and no one ever found them. Then like, last sunday, someone took a shit right in front of the door to the hall.

These are college students. Meaning they have a high school degree or a G.E.D. It also means that someone thought that they were smart enough to further their education. BUT THEY CAN'T POOP IN THE RIGHT LOCATION.

Yeah society is going to hell in a handbasket, since I think of my job where you have grown adults of 40 and older acting like fucking 12 year olds.

I still have faith, but only slightly, and that's only because some of the generation of kids are growing up with military families and they do set their kids straight. But now that they cut the budget of the military by 75% not many people are going for the military and therefor not that many strict families.

I think one part of it is because education had gone to crap. High school drop out rates are too friggin high, tests need to be harder IMO, Last I heard, they're trying to have it so kids can go to the next grade regardless of whether they pass or not, so kids don't get held back and 'feel bad.'

This shit. THIS. SHIT. I actually flipped a shit at my little brother for something like this yesterday. He was being an ignorant little twat like he always is and I just couldn't take it. It was so bad I had to leave the room or risk pounding his face in. He's almost 14 and he has no sense of tact, no sense of other people's needs, only thinks in literal terms, and sees absolutely no reason for any form of self improvement on any level.
And the fucking worst part was my parents actually forced me to come back to the dinner table and tried to explain to me that 75% of all the people I meet are going to be just as ignorant and narrow-minded if not worse, and I'll just have to learn to deal with it.
Now I am not very smart. I am impulsive and whiny and I'm wrong all the fucking time, but for fuck's sake, there are limits. At the very least acknowledge that there is a ton of shit you do not know, that there are a ton of opinions that just won't sit right with you, own your mistakes and your ignorance when it's pointed out to you.
As for the kid who wrote this letter. His argument is lacking, but he's probably as sick of dumb kids as I am. He doesn't strike me as very old so I'm guessing he's like in grade school. Even a grade-schooler can see that there's something wrong.

I had to spend 2 weeks straight doing a shit load of extra work to ensure I passed government. I HAD TO WORK. BUST MY ASS TO GRADUATE.

Anybody who passes without doing any work I hope they break their legs when getting their diploma and then Hazama shows up, skewers their parents with uroboros and then takes a piss on their diploma.

My teacher's that I had felt the same way, but they feel that they only need to give us tests (not easy ones ofc, survey of economy was shit hard) and not HW, failing us over HW even though we ace tests is a bit harsh. Some dude in my business law class passed by doing his hw but failing all his tests.

Passing without effort. Shit that was getting my AA. With today's education system I don't see how anyone can fail the first two years of college, unless they straight up refuse to work. Most of the work itself is so simple.
