Battles Against Party Members

Okay, maybe I'm just shit at this game, but is it just me, or are the fights you have with your party members ridiculously weighed in their favor?

First time I fought Hubert I got my ass handed to me about 12 times in a row before giving up and moving on. As soon as he got me into a combo, he would kill me in 4 hits, dealing over 2000 damage, doing me in with my meager 1500 hp.

Second time I fought Sophie, and eventually won after 5 battles, when I got lucky and got an eleth burst, but it was the same thing.

Now I fight Malik, and he deals about 5000 damage to me when he gets a good combo on me. How the fuck do I compete with that.

More importantly, where the fuck are these ridiculous amped up stats for the party when I need them?

Or maybe I'm just really shitty at this game and can't fight a one on one battle. But does anyone else have this much trouble with them?

Edit: And on top of that, Malik seems to have the ability to randomly heal 2250 hp for no reason. When do I get THAT ability?

Honestly, all the fights are a matter of dodge and strike when you get a chance. Hubert is harder in that regard because he has good accuracy and a wider attack radius. Sophie has more dangerous ranged attacks but she's easier. Malik should be the easiest because his most threatening artes can be avoided entirely OR you can go up and interrupt his casting. If you have trouble then get to dualizing your shit lol.

Not really. What difficulty were you on anyways. I only have trouble with them on Chaos.

Anyways, its the required rule of video games. Party members who go boss always insta power up and have all sorts of new shit. ALWAYS.

The only one I had trouble with was Cheria vs Pascal.
Cause......its fucking Cheria vs PASCAL. I rape as Cheria, but pascal has a FUCKING GUN.


Easy answer: Get moar titles and better dualized shit son. Harder difficulties wield better pieces, and a SHIT load of more SP.

Yeah, they're absurdly overpowered, but that's because there's just one target. Exploit that Human weakness like there's no tomorrow.

Hubert was tough, took the longest time to beat him.

I actually beat Sophie my first try.

Malik took some time, but just evade his spells and stay close and you can win.

Then there's the Cheria Pascal battle...that one took a few tries..
