lol I only just now finished Death Note

WARNING: may contain spoilerz (lol, like anyone who is interested in this hasn't watched the whole thing yet xD)
I started watching quite a while ago too =D But I just watched each episode as it came on on my tv which was every other Sunday morning (around 3 or so =D I just recorded them).
*braces herself for an outburst of objections*
First "L" is best. Light's right, nobody can replace him.
EDIT: I never saw a spoiler thingy on here since I used it, so does the word "SPOILER" normally show in the color of blue or was it just my font? =o

And yes. L is the only opponent. And I believe he still won in the end. He made sure that there would be someone left to kill Light in the end, in case he couldn't. And Light didn't.

L was super duper smart (and he could be funny when he wanted =D Light was not nearly as funny as L)! It's not that Light wasn't smart, though.
Although nobody beats Ryuk (that how you spell it?) in awesomeness =)

I loved Aizawa towards the end. I think he's the unsung hero of the series.
Then again, it's probably Mogi who's that.

well in the live action movie, the way it happens is completely different; but both ways are good except for the part about L dieing

Well, I really didn't like Light to begin with he got drunk with power so easily and that removed what little good his character was. Yes he was killing criminals but then he started killing police officers and others who didn't deserve to die.

I loved the series ..the time when i had pure hatred for Light is when he killed Ray Penbers wife ..i was raging she was the only one tht had a very good theory onto who Light was..her fault was she was too trusting she got far but after giving her fake name she finally gave her real one and got punished TT~TT

It was irritating seeing him do all these things but of course, I had to finish it xD It was interesting either way.

I guess you could catagorize Light as a failed anti hero, anti heroes are usually easily likable due to their more realistic nature, he was just a abuser of power, while he started out on a noble cause he should just punished those who deserved it and not done so many.

It was good, cut most the lame stuff from the Kira arc but kept the basic plot of it as well.
If you do watch watch sub, the lip synching in it is terrible although hearing the US VA's did help me accept the characters more easily.
