白レンと有間都古
I lack a camera at the moment, but these are pictures of the Lycèe cards I hid from Masu, both because I feared for their safety and because I thought it would be funny.

Re: 白レンと有間都古
I said I think lol, I'll have to ask next time I'm at her house, which isn't very often since she doesnt have internet no usually its her at my house 5-9 hours of the day using my computer for internet.
Re: 白レンと有間都古
If it turns out that she does, can you possibly find out from where she gets them? I've only been able to find a couple decent places to buy them on-line without requiring my using a Japanese deputy service. Any potential leads would be very much appreciated.

Re: 白レンと有間都古
Wist you are probably going to hit yourself or me depends, well she has ALOT, not a couple anyways she got almost all of hers off of Amazon and some of them she bought when she was in Japan last summer.
A sidenote is what is the craze about these?

Re: 白レンと有間都古
I found a seller on Amazon who sells them for a not unreasonable price, perhaps the same as your friend has used; I suppose I'll buy a bunch from there sometime. I'll also surely pick up some packs if I go back to Japan next year.
The "craze" about Lycèe is that it has characters from a bunch of visual novels from many different companies. The game is able to stay relevant because of that. I'm sure, for example, the Little Busters! TCG cards are neat [s]and attractive[/s] (in fact, I have a few thanks to my buying the First Print Edition of Little Busters! Ecstasy), but fairly useless; I can't imagine I'll ever come across anyone who plays the game. They'd perhaps be good collector's items and one can more easily collect all of them thanks to the sets not expanding, but they're pretty much a dead end. The Little Busters! cards are inherently limited in scope anyways as they only relate to Little Busters! whereas there are Lycèe cards for virtually all of my favorite visual novel characters (Mai, Kyou, Rin, Yumemi, Akiha, Haru, what have you).
Lycèe also stands out because it's more of an equivalent to Pokemon or Yu-Gi-Oh or Magic in regard to potential longevity, and perhaps popularity, and the portraits are all derived from fan art (I never opened my Little Busters! cards, but I think the portraits are derived from official art and CG which would make them a bit boring, as if Pokemon cards only used sprites from the video games). So... put simply, anyone who wants to collect visual novel cards without buying into multiple individual card games that won't drop off the face of the planet after a year would do well to choose Lycèe because of the card variety and its being a continually supported playable game.

Re: 白レンと有間都古
Understandable, I've played a couple visual novels some are good others suck all depends on the characters. I might see if they have a couple from a visual novel I've played before.
Re: 白レンと有間都古
I found a few places where I can buy boxes of booster packs in bundles of fifteen, that seems cheapest if I want to build up some sort collection. Half of the sets that interest me are no longer in production or on sale, though. I think I'll have to order some specific cards or wait until I go to Japan again and check out Akihabara or a card shop to pick up individuals (such as the Yumemi and most of the Kyou cards).
