A moment of silence for Bill Murray.

Well, last night I saw Zombieland. And I will admit, I was skeptical of it at first. It seemed like an American ripoff of Shaun of the Dead. An obvious cash in to try and reel in the losers of society to get as much money as they could.

However, I was relieved to find I was wrong. It had similar events and themes to Shaun of the Dead; Tragedy, Horror, and wacky zany comedy. It wasn't as good as Inglourious Basterds, but it did had some moments where it was just as good as The Basterds. Certainly not every movie can be as great as The Basterds, but hell, if every movie was that good, then no movies would seem good at all.

Zombieland didn't even focus so much on the zombies themselves, really. They were more like part of the setting than any actual threat.

Zombieland wasn't the solid gold that was Inglorious Basterds. But it certainly stands well enough on it's own. It's almost a general sum-up of the American culture in a way. Wacky, crazy, sleazy, but an underlying sweetness to it.

So I reccomend Zombieland. 10/10. Any movie that has a nun drop a piano on a zombie's head, it's gotta be good.

The movie is great. Totally worth seeing. Other than the Basterds, it's the best movie I've seen in a long time.
