Borderlands?
http://www.gametrailers.com/video/review-hd-borderlands/57868?type=flv
Seems like a watered down cartoony version of Fallout 3. Probably not as good, however the co-op thing would be fun. It's 3 person co-op, so if I could get 2 others to go for it, it'd add something to our repitoir of badassness.
Actually, if I could just get Masu to get the game, it would be mad fun. Imagine Fallout, with crappy story, and co-op and you'd get this game.
So, could be fun. The humor seems low brow, which might be nice to relax to. Rather than having to go through all sorts of hardened veteran types like the last few games I've played.
Anyone else interested?

Re: Borderlands?
I'm down for it if I get any money. (unlikely)
I'll have to wait for a price drop for this one honestly.
Now get off my bus.

Anyway, I would love to see Masu in this game. That would be fucking hilarious.

Re: Borderlands?
Also, this seems like a *better* version of Fallout 3. Fallout was awesome, yeah, but this seems more fast-paced. Which is good.

Re: Borderlands?
Well, Fallout was pretty in depth with it's characters and story. This seems to be pretty grindy and not all that colorful with the characters. More like an adventure of the main character himself, than the whole society around him. Fallout was more about the world than the character. Storywise anyway.
Also, if things work out, this could turn into an epic RPG thing.

Re: Borderlands?
Wow, thats a great way to describe Fallout. Yeah, FO3 was more like you character was a Canvas and everyone was a Painter, painting their stories on you. BLs looks like you're gonna be the painter.Gay Tony wrote:Well, Fallout was pretty in depth with it's characters and story. Re: Borderlands?
Fallout also had a lot of continuity errors. Concerning Three Dog anyway. At least on my evil runthrough:
"Time for a report on that jackass from vault 101 everybody. Someone really needs to kill that son of a bitch....
Mr. Vault 101 has been doing some really interesting things over in Arefu! Helping them out with a VAMPIRE problem of all things! Nice going 101!"
I hope that Borderlands will have more exploration and goodies than Fallout did. That's what I liked about Fallout, and it could make up for Borderland's obvious plot defficencies.

Re: Borderlands?
So far I've done all the side missions in the Arid Wasteland area and I am still exploring the area for loot, inventory expansion slots and such.
Re: Borderlands?
Hm. So you'll be pretty far ahead by the time the rest of us get it.
Meaning we'll have to leave you behind.
I'll do a little bit of playing, just to get used to the controls, until I get Persona 4 in the mail. Then I'll play that once we're all ready to party.

Re: Borderlands?
Rozen has been playing this a lot. We did do some splitscreen and I ended up running him over with a vehicle on accident.....

That's hilarious.
However, past experience would cause some to question that "accidentally" part.

Re: Borderlands?
Well, I won't argue against you any longer. Just in case you decide to try and run me over as well.
I doubt that would be an accident.

Re: Borderlands?
Unfortunately Rozen has figured out how to dodge the vehicles fairly well since I tried to do it more than once.
