Alright. Christmas is over.

Well, Christmas time is over. So the theme is back to the way it was.

Now the staff will get started on the forum conversion.

And by that I mean, we'll talk about it once before December 30th, and then remember that we actually have to do it, and then pull it all together in one night.

I'm thinking we could do another theme thing for January, but for now we're going to focus on the forum conversion. Or, we're going to be NOT focusing on it.

Im all for not doing shit till dec 31st 11:45 pm. Well I'd say the banner would have to be done before hand since im sure kilvas cant slap that together in like 10 mins but we can do........whatever the fuck we do in 15 mins.

Well, we need to figure out what we need to do.

We need to merge all the Tales topics into the General Tales forum, create a Persona forum, and do we want Blazblu and Fire Emblem too?

Might want a couple more games seires like how about, an Atlus RPG Branch, Fighting game forum, Square Enix RPG Branch, Fire Emblem Branch that kind of thing.

Well, we don't want to cover so many games that the Other Games forum dies. I'm thinking 3-4 forums for consistent games, and then maybe one extra one for a current popular one for the month.

Alright, I'll get started on a banner right away then.

What should it have other than Tales? And Persona I'm assuming.

I think we are still keeping the name. For sentimental reasons, and it still works.

Serene, I don't mean to be a dick, especially when you didn't really do anything to provoke me, but you show up once every three months for about ten minutes, say something profane or about baby eating or something, and then leave. No one really cares too much about your input.

We havent completely decided on who we are even going to have on the banner not to my knowledge anyways.

If I may make a suggestion.

It occurs to me that the problem with the member-base (Or lack there of) isn't that you're a Tales Forum but it's that you're JUST a Tales Forum.

Now this doesn't mean you should make it a forum for every game ever (Although that is one way to go)

But if I may humbly suggest, that perhaps you may want to invest in a main site.

Ie: Before SF was a forum it had a main site with character profiles, and level gains, and formulas and crap.

Doing that sort of thing for Tales Games would probably be a good way to take in members...

Not to say the forum doesn't need a re-tool...it's just not what I personally would prioritize.

Anyway, to translate for Roz into more official terminology:

The reason we're changing things is mostly because the member-base is so low. And even when new members join, they never post, and they never show up again. We've tried several methods to increase forum activity and member count, even to the point where I begged people in another forum to join. But to no avail.

Due to the lack of members, and the greater lack of members who actually PLAY Tales games, the entirety of the Tales forum is pretty much short of dead. And the few topics we do have in there are maybe 2 pages long at most.

As a result, we've decided to change things up by merging the Tales forums into one forum, and adding a Persona forum and Blazblu forum. Arguably the two most discussed games on the site. Other than L4D, which we decided didn't warrant a Forum of it's own.

Another issue we have, is the lack of people who actually care about the well-being of the site itself. Outside of the staff, there is maybe 1 to 2(Pushing it) people who actually care about the future of the forum. When we were at Serenes, every single one of us wanted the forum to prosper, and even did stuff to try and help, and none of us were staff.

Also, a main site would be a good idea. However, that requires a severe amount of work and dedication, that I'm sure no one on the staff can afford at the moment. There's also the issue that we would have to pay for such a site as well. Masu and/or I would be the ones to pick up the bill, and not to divulge to much of his personal life, I know he has had money issues recently. As for myself, while I DON'T have money issues, I'm not in the financial standing that I can really afford to toss 50 bucks a month to a forum with about 10 active members.

And yes. You should probably read the whole topic and figure out what's going on before you start making suggestions. That way you can more accurately pinpoint what needs to be done.
