So I watched this at katsucon and it was awesome. So im flying through the anime right now. Im probably not gonna read the manga for a long time, because monthly update sounds horrid. 12 chapters per year. yeah, i'll spare myself the misery of waiting. Im on episode.....34? The one where Killik(FUCKIN AWESOME) Ox and that pink haired chick are raping ass atm. Who do you all like? So far my favs are:

-Kid
-Killik
-Stein

Soul and Crona are close up there too.

Yeah this was a pretty awesome anime imo. I never got around to reading the manga.

Also, is it wrong that I went "awwwwwww" and thought that it was the cutest thing ever when they showed the version of the 2nd ending with maka walking on the disc, but they replaced it with young maka holding young crona's hand? That was so nicely placed for that episode

I read the manga and I finished the anime awhile back.

Monthly updates are a pain in the ass and this latest one was supposed to be out last wedesday but it's not out yet so fuck.

Dude I HATE Medusa.

Mainly cuz im a chrona fan.

Medusa is mad fun.

Only cause scenes with her and Stein are epic.

I will admit, her scenes with stein are awesome, I just hate her for what she did to crona.

Crona:Male or Female? Which do you think?

I personally think Female. I thought male at first till I got further in the series. Crona sounds more of a female's name, she has feminine hair AND on top of that its pink. Also she wore a regular girl's dress in her flashbacks when she was younger and sounded like a girl, though present crona's voice could be either gender. Also when ragnorock was trying to pull her dress up. He did the same to Maka later on, so im assuming crona is a chick for those reasons.

The manga confirmed she was a female. Though I thought it would make the relationship between Maka and Chrona more interesting if Chrona was male.

James told me that even the author of soul eater himself said hes not sure what gender crona is in an interview. I dont think crona has a set confirmed gender, because theres tons of animes out there with men who look VERY feminine and will do what girls do (trying to cover breasts/vaginal area etc etc) but are actually dudes. For all we know, that pic could be either way. Crona could be a flat chested girl, or a dude and the penis is drawn too low to be seen, because if you look you can only see the area where the pubic hair grows, not the actual part.

I still see her as female though. Though I wont be surprised if she's a male, or just goes unconfirmed for the whole series
