Persona 4 RP Phase 2

"...Why? What good would it do.." Maeko mumbled. She searched around her pockets. "...! Shit..." She realized she left her fishing hooks on the kitchen counter. She put her pole down and clentched her fist.

"Everything okay?"

"...I forgot my hooks." Maeko growled. She sighed at stared at the river, Maeko placed a hand on her stomach as it growled.

"How about we go get dinner together, eh?" Stefan smiled. "My treat. You could use the food from the sound of it, and I could use the company. Anywhere you want."

"W-what..? N-no, you don't need to do that..." Maeko said, turning away.

"....Please...I don't want to be alone right now..." Stefan said softly.

"...A-alright, if you want.." Maeko replied, picking up her belongings.

"Thanks..." Stefan saw her handling the load. "Can I help?"

"No, It's fine..." She replied standing up, carrying her gear. "Where are we going?"

"Where do you want to go? Aiya's?" He asked.

"E-er..." Maeko fidgeted. "I dunno, anywhere's fine. Let's just go." Maeko replied, she stared at the river, then looked up at the sky. ..It's dark..

"Heh. Okay, we'll go get Aiya's." Stefan laughed. "You know, you're rough around the edges, but I think you actually do try to be considerate."

"..W-what do you mean?" Maeko asked coldly, blushing. "..Can we just hurry?" Maeko asked looking around.

"Heh. You're humble too." He chuckled a bit more. "But okay, you're doing me a favor, so I won't pry. Come on." He began walking a little faster as they made their way to Aiyas.

"...Humble. Tch, yeah right..." Maeko mumbled, picking up the pace, occasionally looking around.

"Here we are." Stefan opened the door for her, taking a glance across the street at the shrine. "...After you." He smiled, gesturing for her to go in.

"..." Maeko hesitated, but hurried inside, still carrying her gear.

"Ooooo! Why hello there sir!" Said the owner, the restaurant practically empty. "What can I do for you?

"Hmm. I'll have the beef bowl. You?" He asked Maeko.

"..Same. Just, whatever." Maeko replied, sitting down at the counter.

"Coming right up!" The man said, returning to the kitchen.

"Hey, you okay?" Stefan asked.

"Yeah, fine." She quickly replied, putting her stuff down beside her. She rested her chin in her hand.

"Listen...I know we don't know each other that well, but I can already tell that something's bothering you. I mean...if you don't want to talk about it fine, but you and I seem to have a similar problem." He stared straight ahead. "...No one really seems to get us.."

Maeko sighed. "...You're really the only one in this merry band of friends that I can tolerate." She leaned her head back and closed her eyes. "Well, that Kentaro guy isn't too bad either. Something about him is..different."

"Really? Me? Usually I'm the one everybody hates." He chuckled sorrowfully. "And Kentaro? That guy's been acting weird lately. Er. Weirder. At least around me he has.."

"You aren't loud and or obnoxious as the others. Don't get me wrong, they're all really nice and I'm indebted to them. But I can't stand their company after sometime." Maeko explained, then shrugged. "Dunno, he seems fine to me."
