Persona 4 RP Phase 2

"I just said Maeko got attacked by Toshiyuki dude. Wait what friend?" Masuyo asked looking to see the entire group was present. well not like we're his friends but i dont think he knows anyone else in inaba....... "Whatever we're coming to the hospital now. Theres a bus departing to it in five minutes."

"Well, you guys were all on vacation, I had to meet some other people somewhere." He paused. "As for Maeko...He did mention he'd be doing something like that..."

"Well thats nice. We're on our way now." Masuyo said as the bus arrived.

"What the heck is going on?" Nene asked

Masuyo hung up. "Stefan claims he met people while we were gone, and is visiting him or her at the hospital. he ALSO says Toshiyuki told him he was gonna do whatever he did to Maeko. Sounds fishy."

"Sheesh. Whatever lets just get to the hospital to find out he isnt there already." Yomiko said getting on the bus

"Wait..he knew!?" Maeko tightend her grip on her fishing rod and harpoon and took a breath. "...Alright let's go meet the s.o.b." Maeko said stepping onto the bus after Yomiko.

"Let's." said Karin getting on the bus.

"Hoo boy," Shinta sighed and shrugged before boarding as well, "Stefan you got some 'splainin' to do. But seriously, what do you think's goin' on here?"

"Yeah........yeah I'd be pissed too if i were you." Masuyo said noticing Maeko tense up.

"Thats terrible. He's on our team right? Then why would he knowingly let that happen to Maeko-san?" Tsubasa said as she sat down next to Karin.

"We'll find out soon enough hopefully." Yomiko said folding her arms

"Heck, I dont have a clue whats going on." Nene said sitting next to Shinta. "Like Miko-chan said, we'll find out.........maybe......I guess?"

"Do you think Stefan betrayed us? I mean...he seems flaky, but not evil..." Dahni noted. "Then again...With what he said.."

Maeko glanced over at Masuyo, then turned away. She sighed as she said nothing and held up her harpoon, loading the blade into the barrel.

"You aren't about to murder us in a blind rage are you?" Masuyo asked waving his hands infront of him seeing Maeko ready her weapon.

"I.......highly doubt that." Yomiko said. "Actually I think she's getting ready to punish Stefan a little."

"..Yeah." Maeko said, sitting down, keeping her harpoon pointed at the floor.

A giant grin overcame Yomiko's face. This is going to be beautiful.......

"Sucks that its even come to this." Nene said disappointed with what was currently happening.

"Shit happens." Masuyo said. "All we can do is stick together as well as possible or something."

Kentaro skates around aimlessly waiting for an update on the situation totally out of the loop.

"Steeeeve! Come on out Steeeve.... man what the hell..."

"...It shouldn't be too much longer...I don't think we should all rush him at once with hostility. We won't get anything out of him." Dahni noted, trying to keep hushed on the bus.

"Oh I dont plan to." Masuyo said grinning. "Personal matters get dealt with personally, so Maeko gets first dibs on him."

"From what Karin-chan said........Toshiyuki said he wanted you to do something for him in return for the power? Then..........what if stefan-san is already doing his bidding?" Tsubasa said frowning.

"Its possible, but lets hope thats not the case." Yomiko said looking at her phone. "Oh yeah we kinda left Kentaro."

"Oh." Masuyo said. He texted him "Go to the hospital."

"We'll have to see." replied Karin in a dangerous tone. Shinta gave a worried look before smiling and shrugging, "He would pull this after becoming a monk, wouldn't he? Just once I'd like to see a religious figure that doesn't die or turn evil."

As the bus began to slow down, Stefan watched from a bench outside, his legs crossed, a blank expression on his face, seemingly knowing what was to come momentarily. His only movement was to arc his head back and look at the sky as the bus came to a stop.

"Religion is ALWAYS evil in RPGs. ALWAYS." Masuyo said. "Eternal Fantasy, Tales of Symphonic, Tales from the Abyss, Tales of Fate 2, Perso-OW!" Masuyo shouted as Yomiko hit him on the head.

"DONT SAY THAT LAST ONE. YOU KNOW THATS BAD!" she shouted.

"S-sorry........"

"We're here." said Karin as she moved to depart. Shinta sighed and followed after her.

Shinta approach Stefan with a casual smile and a wave, "I'd normally try to open with a joke, but let's skip all that and just hear the explanation."

"Well...I assume the first thing you want to know is about what he did to Maeko..." He said as the group approached. "...First off, she's not in any danger at the very least. Just rest for a day and you'll be okay." He looked to Maeko. "As for what he did exactly....He was having a kind of tryout...Between a few of us. As you probably surmised, me and Maeko were the primary contestants." He remained quiet. "Needless to say...Maeko wasn't selected. ...And I was." He raised his hands. "Now, before you all get hostile, it's not that we're against you guys. I know none of you like him, and he has done his fair share of backroom kind of things, he bears no ill towards any of you."

"Thank you for the explanation," Shinta said, "one question though: tryout for...what exactly? And I'm a little insulted that I didn't get an invitation."

"You said you and Maeko were the prmary candidates, right? So does that mean there were others?" asked Karin with a raised eyebrow.

"Toshiyuki's made his move with the other group. Abandoning them. Thus, he wanted his own group of people, that could help him out, one way or another. To answer your question, Shinta. He needed people that could share loyalty to him. Considering his position, he needs people he could trust with his life. So he went for people who were kind of fractured from the main group. Me, Maeko, and at the time, Karin." He looked at her, making eye contact for a second. "And there are others. Forgive me for not saying how many, but since you could surmise as much, the friend I was visiting here is a member. So...at least three including me and Toshiyuki himself."

"Well then. Personally, I dont want you with us if you're with a group lead by a dude who use to work with the enemy. Too much information and stuff can be compromised. Then again the guy can teleport, talk to Karin in her head and stuff, so he's probably live streaming this on NicoNico as we speak." Masuyo said with a shrug and chuckle. "Also Karin wasn't estranged from the group, just Shinta. You two probably hated us as a whole save one person possibly, but Karin im damn sure was okay with everybody, but shinta. Which was understandable. Toshiyuki might wanna get better intel before jumping the gun like that, it would have been hilarious if Karin just shoved an ice shard in his throat."

"I dont know WHAT to think anymore. But yeah you'll have your hands full if you work with two groups, and I'd rather NOT run the risk of any of our plans being leaked, so I agree with Masuyo. Nothing personal towards you, but this situation just y'know, has stuff to do with my LIFE and all and im not willing to risk throwing it away for some people I dont know."

"That's fine. Even if I weren't with him, you guys didn't seem to want me around much anyway." Stefan said. "If you guys do need me for whatever reason, don't hesitate to call."

"...He said the power he'd give me would help me protect you guys, and deal with Shinta if he betrayed us again." said Karin as she pondered what she heard, "Argh! I don't get any of this! Why can't we all just work together?"

"So you sayin' Toshiyuki passed us over for his club? Not that I'd join him anyway but frankly Im a bit offended." Kentaro says appearing with a large bandage wrapped around his forehead. "Yo." he waves "Thought it was an emergency so I skitched a ride but fell off my skateboard and came the rest of the way in an ambulance. But it looks like I worried for nothing."
