What do you want to be when you grow up?: There comes a time in every mans life

...when his parents want him out of the house. I gotta pick a career path really soon, and I thought: Why not ask the extremely helpful folks on TC for their opinions? Then I thought to myself: Which TC have you been using, idiot?
So anyway, go ahead and joke but at least include what you plan on doing/some suggestions on what I could do.

Well, I am working towards a degree in digital entertainment for going into video game creation, programmer or level designer.

That sounds really cool. I like games but liking something doesn't automatically make it a fitting job, and I got no comp skills. Sounds fun though.

Foreign Language Studies degree. Imma be a japanese translator

I'm majoring in Radio and Television Production. I kinda want to be a voice actor. Or create my own show. Probably have some little thing going on the internet, since that's pretty much where I hang out cause I'm too much of a loser to go to the bars or something.

Bachelor of Arts in Video Games Design. None of that faggy programming shit for me!
I'm all about that other stuff like the graphics and music and storyline and physics engines and related bits.

I was lucky to find this one. Apparently it's the only degree of its kind in the state. And, since, it's new, there aren't any prerequisites until next year.

But even I know that arts degrees are useless. Hopefully this one won't be lololo
It comes with internships so that's hopeful. I think

I am looking into being a professional photographer.

I'll probably do some shitty arts degree and end up working in food services like all other people who have arts degrees.

Go me.

I was looking into Fasion/Costume design. I'd like to desing anime and game characters too.

The TC video game company. You have many of the pieces already. Maybe I should go into marketing or management and get you gus together on something.

Now this is something I thought about, but I'd have had to go to another campus for Jap classes and signed up for german instead. Im still gonna do Japanese when i got time though. They need manga in germany right? I could try that when I finish both languages.

Thanks everyone. It's nice to know I'm the only one without a clue. Seriously though this was kinda helpful, lots of decent ideas 'specially BlazBlue player. I hear those guys make Bank.

I've had a lot of choices in mind, and still do...I would love to enter professional wrestling and show those whippersnappers how to wrestle like a pro (lol), but I also have some game ideas that I really, really want to see realized. Then there's my desire to start up a band of actually good music and maybe even solo work. And finally, I would love to become a prosecutor.

The thing is...I have no idea which one would be best for me. I was thinking I can become a prosecutor and do the other things as side-projects, but that...wouldn't work out. I'd need to lose quite a bit of my decency if I entered the entertainment business, and making video games requires a lot of time, the kind that a prosecutor won't have. In the end, though, being a prosecutor would suit me best, so I'll probably take that up.

I have very conflicting career choices, I know.

EDIT: I guess it's interesting to note that one year ago, I was 100% sure I want to become a prosecutor. Is this good or bad?

Actually, I think I get it. I was once dead set on owning a bar while being a certified shrink, but as time passed the options along w/indecisiveness grow. It's part of why I was asking in the first place.
