Minecraft

SO, i'm not sure if catbread already made a topic or not but i'm gonna make one anyway. I just got this at 5 today and I'm already loving it. Imagine legos with mining and crafting. It's a sandbox game where you just build whatever comes to you. You start with just your block-y fist. You can then beat ANYTHING around you to turn it into a material. Then you can craft those materials into tools, food, plants, building blocks, you name it. During the day the normal livestock are out and then during the night is when everything and their mother wants to rape you in your sleep. So if you don't build a base during the first day. You're going to die... A LOT. Monsters are just your basic rpg monsters, Skeletons, zombies and spiders, oh my. There's also the Creeper, It doesn't make any sounds and when it get's close enough it will blow up. So during the nighttime you just sit in your little hidey hole listening to all the pleasant noises the monsters make. However, You can use this time to mine into the ground behind/under your base. So far I've just mined through the hill i made my underground base in. Made like 4 floors and erected a tower above it.

Never mind that I can't play on Normal difficulty because the monsters are too scary. That's not important.

Yup. There are no in-game objectives (yet) and the world goes on forever.

It's actually friendly! I proved this by jumping in the ocean and beating one to death with my bare hands!

Once the main wall's done, though, you oughta try making the walls more ornate. Maybe with windows on the sides.
My experience has shown that glass usually makes everything better

Also that's a nice use of redstone torches and a really, really cool wall.

I figured out how to make a clock generator (constantly turns on and off power) using redstone, and voila

Continued production on the citadel has now made the front wall complete!

Now it's finally roofed and a 22x50x11 section is officially safe from monsters i'll post more pics as more of it's complete and stuff get's refined. (the addition of windows and possibly balconies.)

Classy trash bin, though.

If you want a less flammable one you can just make a hole in the ground. Stuff you throw in it will disappear after 5 minutes, so it works just as well.

Next update (Tuesday or Wednesday) they're adding the best thing ever invented: a bed that lets you sleep through the night.

And best of all, later on they're going to have you respawn at the last bed you slept in. We'll be able to freely build RPG inns!
