Tales of the Abyss the Animation getting dubed

Its an old article, but i just found this out from searching for 3DS abyss shit.

I for one am excited. I watched the entire anime in japanese, its excellent. Its the length of a REAL anime (26 episodes) and covers every core point from the game, and even touches more on things that fans may have wondered about (like what happened with asch right after luke was made, arietta still being a rabid animal till van raised her etc etc)

Hopefully it will get a DVD/Bluray boxset for the US version. What would be an even better idea would be if they aired the dub on adult swim, and snuck in ads for Graces F (and maybe advertise PS3 vesperia or Xilia depending on how late this gets released in the US)

And Adult Swim is the way to go. This is good news for people who want localization.

YES. I LOVED THE ABYSS ANIME. I just downloaded all the sub to put on DVDs..D: But I'm so happy it's getting dubbed. <3 I hope the have original voices though..

Psh, screw adult swim. I don't see them airing it.

I see it going straight on to DVD, which I do not like.

Adult Swim might air it. They aired a lot of those short series animes.

Better they do it than the disney channel pick it up.

My money's on this: they're doing the dubbed anime to see how much it sells. If it sells well, we'll see 3DS Abyss.

That was hilarious, Death Note is one of the better dubs. Lol.

I doubt they will. If it isn't Inuyasha, FMA, or really dark or bloody or anything, I don't see them airing it. I'd like to see them surprise me though.

Who's dubbing BTW? Are they gonna have the same voices as the game? If not, it isn't worth it. Lol.

I really only hate Naruto's dub. Most others are at least halfway decent.

And why would you not be for a dub abyss when it already has and english cast with great voices? Do you remember the voices from the game? they were great.

Also, anime is not aired nowdays unless its licenced by funimation (and then you have to have their channel). I hope its and insta DVD boxset release, because collecting things ftw

I'm just not really that big a fan of dubs. I prefer it in japanese with subs.

And I'm not against an Abyss dub at all. I'm super excited for it, and think it's a great idea. I just wouldn't watch it dubbed.

I'll buy it if it comes out on DVD and has the option for subbed, for sure. But not if it's just dubbed. Just my personal preference.

Cant argue with that I suppose. I've been being more open about dubs as of late

Though, if it's the same voice actors as the game, I might consider it. Since I already see those people as the voices of those characters.
