Ni No Kuni:Wrath of the White Witch

So I just saw a trailer for this upcoming PS3 game on Kotaku, and it looks goregous, I like the artstyle and designs used for this game. Its a fresh new look compared to most JRPGS as of late. It makes me think Windwaker meets Mother 3 to be honest.

Then I find out, its being done by Level 5. The awesome people who made Dark Cloud 2 and Rouge Galaxy. Both of which were INCREDIBLE PS2 RPGS. So now im pretty excited about this surprise game that I stumbled upon. Why am I posting about this? Because Namco Bandai just announced that they're going to release this in the US and Europe early 2012 (it comes out next month in JPN)

Duuuuude! I knew that style looked familiar. That last part said studio Ghibli. The story for this is gonna be as beautiful as the art.

So I watched some of the trailer and I thought "this looks juvenile and stupid"

And then I remembered that dismissing something just because it looks like it's for kids could potentially be a very big mistake.

So I watched the rest of it. Looks pretty neat.
I'll keep tabs on this game to see how it turns out.

They're the movie guys associated with hayao miyazaki. "My neighbor totoro", "Princess Mononoke", "Spirited Away", "Howl's Moving Castle" etc.

I watched it again and the music is done by Joe Hisaishi. He did the soundtracks from a bunch of those movies.
