If you were able, would you go change the past to mend a faux pas with one last chance?
Question
Well, would you?
I probably wouldn't, because they'd be part of my identity, and the identity of my past. Unless it was something really, truly horrible...

Re: Question
I probably wouldn't. Sure I may have regretted doing something or something bad happened. but I feel those events helped shape me into the person I am and because of them, I wouldn't be where I am today. And I wouldn't want to change that.
Re: Question
No way.
Those mistakes you've made along the road of life? The ones you keep kicking yourself over?
They don't actually matter!
Mistakes are for learning from. Better to focus on the future.

Re: Question
It is a tough question. I do like who I am an want to stay that way for the most part, but I do have a fair share of regrets.
I guess my stance is if it happens, I'll have no complaints, but neither will I if it doesn't happen.

Re: Question
In hindsight, I feel this thread was more fitting for general...oh well. Also, I'm liking the answers so far.
Hi! I've missed you guys. How've you all been?

Re: Question
Actually, I have an official statement on the matter.
Going back and change a single event, and come back to the future, no.
However, if I was thrust back in time with all the knowledge and wisdom I have now, I certainly would.
And not just to put stock into Apple. But I feel like if I knew now what I knew then, things could be better in certain ways. And THAT I wouldn't mind doing. I would still be who I am, (minus some minor changes due to natural time) but I'd be able to correct the mistakes I made and probably plan out my life better.

Re: Question
I sometimes think I could do that, but then I feel like I cherish my past too much to do it. Everything, even all the stupid things I did which, in hindsight, would've made life better for those around me, and all the mistakes, even those are valuable to me and I've accepted them so much, I probably wouldn't have the heart to go change them.
Re: Question
True, but they're still part of your identity's past. Depends on how you look at time. The stuff that happened in the past is still part of your past, you're just going through it again.
So the past would still be there, it just wouldn't have happened for everyone else. In theory.

Re: Question
Hmm, that's true, but I'd probably rather not mess with time travel. I might accidentally create a paradox that would turn me into a giant fly man in the future.
(That would be kind of cool, actually)

Re: Question
I would most CERTAINLY go back in time and turn myself into a fly monster man.
Then I'd be a super hero: "Fly Monster Man!"
