As far as I'm concerned, as long as they're not clones of Noel, more characters is always better in a game where every character somehow manages to be good.
And also because of more character themes, but DLC character themes haven't been confirmed yet. fffff

Also- more DLC characters are confirmed for later, so this doesn't prevent more new people from being added. I will agree that they had cooler people to pick from.
