Facebook's useful for a variety of things (namely pestering people about homework but I get irrationally angry when my friends are so incompetent.

Myspace is worthless
FB has uses. Like what Kiryn said above, also keeping/getting back in touch with old friends is a nice plus.

Facebook is amazing for me, because I know a lot of people, but not well enough to actually warrant hanging out with them for no reason. FB allows me to get to know people, without the whole awkward "Oh hey I've seen you hanging out with people I know so I'm going to just walk around with you!" scenario. It's a lot easier to say "Yo, I'm bored, what's up?" on chat than it is to schedule an actual get-together with someone you barely know.

Well, I generally don't take pics of myself, so I like the fact that there are pics of me in my teens, since others are takin pics of me.

Go ahead, slam your shiny new laptop around, disregard what I told you about the repair service for the computers we have being slow, ineffective dicks. But could you stop slamming it on the table? Specifically the table that's right above my laptop (and me, sitting on the floor), that's holding a couple of other people's computers? The damn homework doesn't justify breaking other people's machines. We're all CS majors, you know how our laptops are like extra limbs to us.

I know you've got some issues beyond that but most of the rest of us do too. I could probably tie you in a dysfunctionality contest and I'm not going around attempting to destroy crap.

(My friends and I are in a beastly hard math class right now, and the homework tends to bring out our worse sides. My reaction when it gets bad is generally to go off and sulk and play Tetris until I've reached that bizarre sort of serenity I get from it, around 300000 points or so. A lot of the others do similar things, but some of them go the fear/frustration->anger->hate->dark side route. It's... taxing on the nerves, to say the least.)

Tetris puts me into this state of mindless reaction; my head clears out and then I can do homework again. It's also very effective procrastination.
