Wind Waker: 3-Hearts Playthrough
I got so bored that I decided to do this. Bring it
In case you don't know what it is
then here is what it is:
A 3-hearts playthrough is the defeat of any Legend of Zelda game without collecting any Heart Containers.
By the end of a regular game, when enemies/bosses take off 1 or more hearts per attack, Link'll typically have 15-20 hearts.
At the end of a 3-hearts game yeah you get the idea
I did this for Ocarina of Time. Wasn't too hard
Of course, I know that game like the back of my hand
This is going to be tougher because
1. I haven't played through this one as often
2. Wind Waker is more focused on combat than most Zelda games.
So how about that 50-floor dungeon containing every enemy in the game
Not only will I have to survive the thing, I'll also have to avoid all the Pieces of Heart.
That will also cause a fair amount of trouble
But then again, this game is laughably easy once you know what to do.
So let's see what happens
I'm posting my progress here because
1. The premise itself might be of interest
2. If I get owned it will be pretty funny
3. It'll ensure I actually go through with it
I just started. Fortunately I had a new game + ready for me, so I'm going to be pimp crawfish Link the entire time.
Of course, a 3-hearts game doesn't get good until the second dungeon or so
Things get exponentially worse from there
Suicidal?

Cool. I'd love to see how you'll get through the Wind Temple. The battle with Molgera should be easy though.

The problem with this, is that the original Windwaker was on the cube. And it was great. I loved Windwaker. It was one of a few games that actually felt like an adventure. I even enjoyed all the sailing that everyone else hated.
However, going from the cube to the DS seems like a downgrade to me. That and I don't own a DS. So it feels like it's just a spinoff of windwaker, and not actually worth getting.
If they were to make a Windwaker for the Wii, you'd bet your ass I would get it. If only to get my money's worth out of the Wii.

This sounds challenging, I may try it at some point.
