Pokemon Puzzle League was the greatest pokemon game ever IMO. And Snap was pretty good. Rumble's pretty fun too.

One were you raise a Digimon. You make it train and battle, and it's awesome.

But yeah, digimon Seasons 1-3 are awesome and actually worth watching, unlike any pokemon show. The show is probably the main reason ANYONE nowadays says "Pokemon is retarded and for 4 year olds"(rough interpretation). Nobody has as bad a dislike for digimon, because the digimon show is all most people know.

And correct me if I'm wrong, but:
Pokemon - Game first, anime after. Game succeeds, anime fails (for the most part)
Digimon - Anime first, game after. Anime succeeds, game fails (falls into obscurity)

IMO, I think Pokemon is better overall. Seeing as I can train tons of pokemon and have thoroughly enjoyed playing every single one, despite the gameplay being identical, I'd have to say it's amazing. The comic/manga is also great(I'll have to find a link to the Pikachu Shocks Back manga, as there are apparently two different ones), and was my favorite comic when I was young. Digimon is a great series for watching, but I'm really big on *doing*, so it doesn't win me over with that. Maybe if I had been able to play that Digimon game more it'd be better, but from what I've seen Digimon games vary a lot, unlike most of the pokemon games. Yeah, new is cool and what not, but if you have a working formula, sometimes you should stick with that. Also, as far as competition, Pokemon had/has almost no competition in the handheld department. It's was, hands down, *the* best GB game, and still up there on the GBA, and still happens to be the only DS game I still go back to after beatin it. Digimon had a lot of competition, since I think they started in the PS era, and console games typically have a LOT of good titles, where as handhelds are limited in their capabilities.

ummm..... 5 season is also horrible..... for digimon.... dont watch it....

Both of them had games first, except Digimon's games were those little LCD things and not cartridges for a system like Pokemon, so they never had much of a chance to be as popular.

My favorite digimon season was 3, followed by 5. 4 sucked HARD... and the other two are alright. Pokemon started out awesome and... its... still... alive... TODAY. Why can't they just let it die after he beats this league? ;__;

I can't pick between the animes. As for games I've dumped thousands of hours into pokemon so there's my answer.

Though i was just making a point that Under marketed low brow games are also (and usually) better than the well marketed hyped games.

Persona is probably popular in Japan. But I would believe that there are too many uber american psychos who think that anything subtly culturally distant is crap for Persona to be that successful here.

And of course, there's the argument that Persona doesn't NEED to advertise to turn a profit. Whereas something like Halo advertises so much that they put more effort into the ads then they do the actual game.

Digimon started with games, Lyle, as I mentioned somewhere in this topic.

Pokymans isn't overhyped at all. In fact, I rarely hear anything about it unless I see some small child pestering their mother/father(keep in mind, these are the same audience that begs for Dora the Explorer and the Magic Ice Castle). But Pokemon is a good game, regardless of not becoming something different. Many games can keep the same basic formula and work well. Zelda, Mario, Final Fantasy, Fire Emblem, etc. If you want a different game, you go to a different series.

Oiy, Halo is awesome. Overhyped, yes, but still awesome, especially with the ability to create your own maps now(something I don't see on any other Xbox shooting games, and a LOT more lenient then something like Brawl). Just because someone says that something is God and you only find it to be Jesus doesn't make it bad... just not God.

Herakles, a HerculesKabuterimon (probably the best Digimon I have right now)
Hexxus, a Myotismon (needs to be degenerated because lol embarrassing stats)
Akhnaton, a Pharaohmon (my other best Digimon)
Gabriel, a Seraphimon (might become the best Digimon of my team)
Tulip, a Lilymon (same as Hexxus regarding stats)
