No you can't from the jump seats cause they are turret guns.

Actually it is a better thing to do than to fire at it because the turret guns are at a side and rely heavily on the piolit remembering this detail so he can make sure that he lines up the target on the sides instead of face forward. That and the fact that the banshee user could have boosted out of there and gotten out of the effective range of the turret gun.
