Yeah, I guess I should EV train a bit. I don't want to go so in depth with it though. But I guess it's time I learn how to EV train properly...

Lol, I have like 30+ pokemon I want to train. I have the EV training items. But I don't really get the specifics to EV training. D:

Oh god I have multiple pokes i wanna ev too. it SUCKS. just take it one at a time, and also, having pokerus works wonders, since it doubles the EV's you get. Combine that with the EV training items and you get quadruple the EVs. You just gotta know what you wanna have your pokemon excell in, also you have to know what stats the natures affect.

Yeah, I know natures. I don't care for IVs though.

Just need to dust off my boxes, see what all I have breeded again.

I also need to know where to EV train. I know Magikarps are good for speed. And Gastlys SpAtt. But I don't know anything else. How much can you EV train a pokemon? What LVL is best to train it?

check the pokedexes. it shows what EVs pokes give. and theres a max of 500 something EVs. Using steroids you can only go to a limit of 100 EVs on a stat, but with EV training you can get like 256 of two stats to make it specialize in something (256 is the max for one stat i believe)

Anyway. Time to train.

I kill you with a new team on thursday (the only day i have wifi :/ tuesday and thursday)

Here's my simple explanation.

- Beating a pokemon gives you 1-3 EVs in a stat(depends on the stage of evolution. Also, some pokemon give you EVs in multiple stats)

- Every 4 EVs you get in a stat gives you a single point in that stat.

- You can have 252 EVs in a single stat.

- 610 EVs is the max. Why, nobody knows, since only 608 actually give you a stat point.

- You can max out TWO stats, and you'll have ONE more point to add to another stat.

By giving your pokemon Pokerus, you can double the EVs recieved in battle. I.E. If you beat a Zubat, you get 1 Speed EV. Beat it with Pokerus, and you get 2 Speed EVs.

Using a Macho Brace also doubles your EVs recieved in battle. This stacks with Pokerus, which makes it quadruple.

Using the EV training items like the Power Anklet gives you 4 EVs in the stat it should increase IN ADDITION to the Evs given by a pokemon. This is affected by Pokerus as well.

For instance, beat a Zubat with Power Lens(gives 4 SpAtk EVs) on and you'll get 1 Speed EV AND SpAtk EVs. With Pokerus, you'll get 2 Speed and 8 SpAtk.

Make sense?
