Re: One Piece (and other stuff)
My favorite anime is easily One Piece. Manga is Soul Eater.
. . . I don't have much else to say, but I worship One Piece. Favorite character is Sanji; Luffy is my second favorite, as well as my favorite main hero in any work of fiction. (does /my/ fiction count in that. . .?)

Re: One Piece (and other stuff)
Yeah uh, I had to google for Fairy Tail 187 but yeah, it was predictable, though that was a cool chapter anyway. Legion looks badass, and I'm liking Faust a lot.

of course it is, it should be Robin, she is much more badass than sanji. More importantly she is a hot woman who can kickass.
Re: One Piece (and other stuff)
Robin's almost sexier than Boa, practically tied, and a much better fighter.
Are enough of you guys caught up to start a One Piece thread? We have the other 2 big ones, but those are pretty much full of hate. The recent chaps are on Luffy's childhood. Definitely worth discussion.

Not half as badass or kick ass as Sanji.Ageha Yoshina wrote:Mr. O'Connell wrote:My favorite anime is easily One Piece. Manga is Soul Eater.

I like Robin. I like her a lot. But Sanji is better. Not to mention a whole lot stronger. . .

Re: One Piece (and other stuff)
...Well yeah... I mean, anyone would. Sanji would not even hit back. It wouldn't be a fight, it'd be a beating wherein Sanji used obvious threats and bluffs, lots of dodges/blocks. No more. Same goes for Nami.Kabuto Kirisaki wrote:DIABLE JAMBE! Sanji is stronger but I'd obviuosly put my money Robin if they ever fought.
EDIT:
Wait wait, what, what, what the fuck did you say? Robin? A better fighter than Hancock?

Re: One Piece (and other stuff)
Oh come on. Robin can definitely hold her own. All Hancock's really got going for her is the stone gaze...and Haki...and a snake...and Amazoness strength....ok I see your point.

Re: One Piece (and other stuff)
Ha, ha, ha. Well... Robin is also pretty strong. She can negate (most, not all) physical strength entirely with her fruit. Beside that given her slender body and stuff, I assume she has to be relatively agile. ...Could prob'ly kick if she needed to, as well.Kabuto Kirisaki wrote:Oh come on. Don't get me wrong, I love Robin. (also thinks she's hotter than Hancock btw, dunno why, I just do.) She's easily my third favorite character, and would be second if Luffy wasn't so delightfully manly.

Re: One Piece (and other stuff)
take out her haki and boa is pretty much screwed against robin, and even if sanji fought robin, he would lose in an instant. I mean come on, she can instantly snap you in half.
Re: One Piece (and other stuff)
Yeah, but, no devil fruit is invincible, except Enel's. Basically meaning, there is a limit to how much strength/force she can endure. By now, Sanji, Zoro, Luffy, etc's, physical strength has to be nearing that.Ageha Yoshina wrote:take out her haki and boa is pretty much screwed against robin, and even if sanji fought robin, he would lose in an instant. Re: One Piece (and other stuff)
Who else thought the guy was already dead and nothing left was just his spirit? Who else thought Hiryuu was gonna show up immediately after him? That was awesome, still only a tail but that's okay for me.
Re: One Piece (and other stuff)
Ageha's father didn't strike me as the kind to give a love speech, 'til I realized he was sacrificing himself. And OMG the fully formed dragon! Saweeeet!
@ O'Connell: First off, yes Robin vs. Boa would be interesting assuming she can't be petrified so I agree there, but your wrong about Enel. Granted all Logia are powerful as long as they stay dry, but Enel is no where near invincible, espescially when compared to other Logia(excluding Black Beard). For one thing he is the only Logia besides Aokiji/Crocodile, who just shatter and reform anyway, that can be struck with something other than seastone: Rubber. And it's also been established that certain Logia can harm other Logia with Ace vs. Akainu. (Although Ace was severely weakened and may have solidified himself to protect Luffy) So basically no fruit is 'invincible', just extremely tenacious. In regards to Robin vs. Sanji, assuming Sanji actually agrees to fight, I must agree that his strength at this point far exceeds Robin's, after all he, Luffy, and Zolo are often called the monster trio. Though it should be noted that Robin specifically uses submissions to make up for her average strength.
Sorry if it sounds like I'm obbsessed,I probably am

Re: One Piece (and other stuff)
but if you think about it, they call them the monsters cause they can out last almost anyone, and have monster strength. Also sanji strength is his legs and not body lol. Robin by now should be getting stronger and also robin can't get petrified unless she's a lesbian.
Psyren: sorry kabuto it wasn't a full dragon, YET!!! it was just his tail like usual D:

Re: One Piece (and other stuff)
yo, I thought so too but it looked to me like its got wings(definite) and a head. I'll double check but could it be you missed the last page? sometimes I do that 'cause the page that says "end" isn't always the last one.
Edit: yup definitely looks like a head. there's a page after the one with the logo on the bottom. 122 page 19 on onemanga.

My reactions while reading the new Air Gear:
1) Well that explains the mirrors, more ridiculous Air Trek science.
2) Oooh Lind's back. Yippee!
3) Wait. You're going to Brain charge 'cause you're in a hurry? Overkill, but she IS kinda annoying.
4) WTF!! *BARF* KILL IT! KILL IT NOW!

Yeah, about Enel, well. I was only referring to him as invincible because that's what Enel/Wiper/Nami/Gan Fall/about two thousand other idiots/ said. A
And also that Ace vs. Akainu thing? I almost cried. But he probably solidified himself to protect Luffy, because what is the point of surviving to lose a fight, when you also sacrificed your little brother? Judging by Ace's death lines, that is the impression I got.
---
And as for Robin and Sanji and Zoro and Luffy... well, yeah. They're the monster trio--the three strongest crew members--however Robin and Franky are also probably pretty close in power to them... mainly Franky, Robin using other methods to make up for lack of strength. Though, Sanji is also easily the fastest crew-member, unless you count Luffy's gear second...

Re: One Piece (and other stuff)
Yeah I'd say I've shed more tears over one piece than even those manga which are supposed to be emotional. I'd also say it's the one fictional universe that I'd most want to live in despite any problems it may have. The one thing I can really appreciate is that Oda sensei isn't afraid to take a break when he needs to come up with something really good. It's why it's managed to keep it's initial appeal all this time imo.
Not trying to spark debate but while I believe Ace sacrificed himself too, am I correct in remembering he felt the intense heat from an Akainu blast before he had to block Luffy? He could have just been exhausted but some wikis theorize that some Logia trump others. Another way to look at it is although a Logia is more or less immune to their element they can't assimilate it when it occurs outside them. Like Ace blocking fire the same temp as him but not actually controlling it. Could definitely be wrong on that last part but it would mean Ace was unable to control/block Akainu's higher heat, resulting in pain.

Re: One Piece (and other stuff)
dude, that mirror shit total bull, and buccha's new form I forgot to say is the most kickass thing I have seen yet out of him. Also Aeon better give the flame regalia to kazu because I want to see what he can do with them!!!!!!!
Also the fairy tail chapter was nice, oh what with gazille screaming at the black cat that he's forcefully taking him back to the guild to be his pet, I lol'd so hard at that.

Re: One Piece (and other stuff)
Also, Ageha. Sanji's upper-half can easily lift several tons. He only fights with his legs, but that doesn't make his body weak by any means at all.

Re: One Piece (and other stuff)
aw the old lady has to die now after the battle, that kinda sucks. At least now van can focus on making his powers more effective than always looking after her. Also I will kill the author of this manga if they pull a Hinata here with marie.

Nuts I did it again! I gotta stop reading spoiler threads before the new chapters. I'll be back.

Re: One Piece (and other stuff)
Well finally got around to psyren and air gear.
Psyren: I thought Ageha's dad died but it looks like he shouted something? Almost forgot about illuma's sunlight weakness. If they incorporate that into the final battle I hope they do it in a cool way. I'm seriously interested in that Daft Punk guy now, and I can't wait for more team Hiryuu action.
Air Gear: So the Rumble King's replacement is revealed... and it's a couple of gay S&M freaks?! I'll admit a masochist is a good use of a reflecting type regalia, but you just can't find someone better than Glasses-san. Still, this way Lind can come out w/out seeming too forced plot-wise.
