Tales Of Legendia

This is the opening to Tales Of Legendia, 1 of my fave Tale's Series Games. Im not suprised if some of you havent heard of it because its not one of the most famous, but i think it was way to underated. this is a preety great rpg just like all the other Tale's. So if you havent heard of it i just wanted to post to let you know... IT EXISTS!!!!!! SO SUCK IT BANDAI!!!

Honestly, I thought Legendia was okay, parts of it made me want to tear faces off and murder Shirley.

Though what made me not like it was I had to play through it twice cause of game data corrupt.

We've all heard of Legendia.

....To be honest I thought it was terrible. I couldn't even bring myself to beat it. Lol.

Here's my reasoning:
I felt the gameplay was awful, you ran into enemies too often, the dungeons had like no feel of difference to them, They were all just crappy mazes infested with hordes of monsters, most of the characters I found either annoying or bland except for Chloe and Norma, I still hear Shirley's shreaks in my nightmares, and I couldn't get into the story at all.

It got to the point where the only thing that kept me going was the hope that Chloe and Senel would eventually get together. And I didn't like Norma till the point where she said in her sleep; "He'll always be your brother...." and Shirley freaked out. ((The enemy of my enemy is my best friend style logic.)) And after Chloe's character quest I had lost all hope for the game.

Soundtrack was beautiful though.

It didn't help the game because the last and only tales game I had ever played was Symphonia, which is my favorite game ever, beyond even the game's genre, so I had high standards for Legendia. But I couldn't get into it.

I did give it a shot, and there was stuff I liked about it, the part where you go to war was my favorite part of the whole game, I felt my adrenaline rushing during the whole part and it was a lot of fun.

But that was it.

I'd like to hear about what made you like it so much. Maybe it would revive nostalgia in me and make me want to try beating the game eventually. Even though it's more likely that I'll just spot P4 in my Ps2 and decide to play that instead.

I played japanese legendia. I didnt get very far though because I think I got Destiny 2 while playing it, and I liked it more XD

It honestly had the best music in the series in my opinion.

It really did. It was like they spent all the budget on the music.

Or, they realized how bad it was and said: "Well, we should at least put an orchestral soundtrack in it..."

Definitely true. Its music was mindblowing.

I just, didn't like Senel, he was so attached to Stella he couldn't move on.

Senel didn't bother me too much. Sure he was a tard, but I could understand his situation.

Two sisters. One's hot, the other is terribly annoying. You actually manage to bag the hot one. She gets killed. You're stuck with the terribly annoying one that you promised the hot one you'd take care of.

I would be all like: "STELLLAAAAAA!!!!!" too.

Till I eventually fell in love with Chloe though. Then I'd be like: "Shirley? Fuck that chick. I GUESS I'll save her, but I'm not gonna take the gag off."

Honestly the whole game I was like, DUMP SHIRLEY ALL SHE CAN DO IS BE ANNOYING.

Shirely was like....the epitome of the worst aspects of a female main character.

She was the character that made me lower my standards for all female charactes. If it wasn't for her, I probably would have hated Tear. Shirely made me NOT hate Colette anymore. Which was like....turning water into wine.

But Colette wasn't that bad, but Shirley needed to die.

I found Colette annoying. Shirely needed to be written out of existence. I can't imagine any sentient being saying: "Yes. This would make for a great character."

Shirley is the Tales version of Kyoko.

Its infuriating. Fuuka and i went over it last night. We would kill Kyoko, but shes protected by a shield of awesome (Ryohei being her older brother and Tsuna liking her for some GOD KNOWS WHAT reason) Where as Haru, who is likeable, has nothing.

I loved the music, thought Chole was hot, Senel should of let Vaclav have Shirley and went off to some corner of the world with Chole.

And Seth Macfarlane is on that list for reasons other than Family Guy. Not just because of that one show.

Wow, this thread is almost two years old.

Anyways, I accidentally tripped and fell over and bought this. I know nothing about it.
I'll post impressions later if I feel like it. (Odds are about 75%.)

I'm curious. How much did you pay for it?

As far as tales games go. It was my least favorite. For several reasons. If you paid more than 10 bucks, you were overcharged. IMO.

Well, I got it 'cause it was cheap and I had money to spare, but it was still about $20. That's more than 10 so uh

Even so, $20 for a Tales game that claims to be 70+ hours? It sure sounded like a good deal at the time!

Good stuff so far!

I especially love how the characters are only allowed to cook bread products.

I'm fighting Moses. He beat me up a bit the first time, so I'm going to try again to save some life bottles.
