Both characters have their own battle themes, meaning the battle themes are different depending on who's story you picked.

Ok. Huge problem with multiplayer if you play with 4 ppl. Not so much for 3 besides the fact that you'll be fighting over the CPU character's control. And its just downright PERFECT with 2 players.

The Link system. When you link, it forces the character you linked with to automatically act on their own.

EVEN IF ITS A HUMAN CHARACTER.

I linked with my sister yesterday and she said she couldn't control Mira. Later on james accidentally linked me, and Im like "what the fuck im not doing any of this shit Jude is doing!!!!!!!!"

On the good side, you can disable link mode by pressing your character's direction on the Dpad.

On the VERY BAD side, link mode is required for building OVL. If you play alone, this is no problem. If you have 1 partner, you can both control a CPU ally. 3 people will probably fight over controling the lone CPU. 4 players (which I do damn near all the time) well......uhhhh.........

Lets just hope they get wind of this slight problem and possibly patch it, cause I was fucking hyped up for the whole "partner co-op play with cordinating combos" shit, so im kinda sad.

Otherwise THIS GAME IS FUCKING GREAT

I finally did it. Placed the order for a copy of Xillia.

I haven't played a tales game in probly two years...

A quick little menu trans:

-Items (ｱｲﾃﾑ)
-Artes (kanji*kanji)
-equipment (two kanjis)
-Lilalle Orb (ﾘﾘｱﾙｵｰﾌﾞ):Used to increase stats/learn new moves and skills (its what you spend GP on, you get it on level up. If you have GP to spend theres a little symbol on the menu next to Lilalle Orb to tell you you have unspent points.)
-Skills(ｽｷﾙ)
-Strategy(two kanjis):I dont use it much, and I cant read all of it, but the bottom choice is kinda important, its turning off auto item. But you can also do it in battle by opening the menu and pressing square and it should say ｱｰﾄｱｲﾃﾑ OFF.
-Event List (ｲﾍﾞﾝﾄﾘｽﾄ)
-Library (ﾗｲﾌﾞﾗｲ): some important things here.
*Titles list: See what titles you have gotten, its the only way to aquire grade. http://aselia.wikia.com/wiki/ToX_-_Titles (Everytitle in the game, translated into english and how to obtain them)
*Battle Book (ﾊﾞﾄﾙﾌﾞｸ):Just tutorials on the basics of the game.

-Message Speed (from left to right):Instant, Fast, Normal, Slow

-MiniMap (ﾐﾆﾏﾌﾟinsertkanji):Dunno this one either, i think its just the zoom of the mini map which you can toggle with square at any point so eh.
-Map Camera (ﾏﾌﾟｶﾒﾗ): never messed with this so 6 symbols should be yellow, and the next three ones should be the left choice (ﾉﾏﾙ twice and then ON)
-Difficulty (ﾗﾝｸ): From left to right, Easy(ｲｰｼﾞｰ) Normal (ﾉｰﾏﾙ) Second (ｾｶﾝﾄﾞ) Hard (ﾊｰﾄﾞ) and Unknown (ｱﾝﾉｳﾝ) (unknown wont appear untill you beat the game.)

Thats about all the important stuff for the main menu. But:

Lillale Orb in a little more depth just so you know how to control growths:

Yellow Ball with Sword-Attack
Red Ball with Breast Plate-Defense
Blue Ball with Wand-Magic
Green Ball with Mage hat-Mag.Def.
Purple ball-Critical rate
Light blue ball with foot-Agility
Yellow ball with a swirl (kinda looks like a scarf, they appear in the middle of a square of four of the balls in the web)-Skills
Yellow ball with a star-like symbol also inbetween the balls in the web-Artes
HP ball-Hp
TP ball-Tp
SP ball-Sp (used for equipping skills)

You have to complete a section of four balls (the number needed to complete a section increases as the lilalle orb web expands) around the orbs in the middle to unlock the skill or arte in that section. Its really easy to get the hang of and if youre lazy i believe you can press select to have the game auto distribute the points (if you reach lvl 99 then you'll get enough points to complete the whole orb so don't worry too much)

Character Abilities and how to activate them:

Jude:
Player-Concentrated Evasion: Backstep at the right moment for jude to teleport behind the enemy. Also recovers AC

CPU-Recover. Get knocked down while you're linked to jude. He'll shout your character's name and pick them up+heal them. This also has a chance to work when your character dies.

Milla: Magi. Hold the artes button to turn her physical skills into magic spells (Like Flare bomb is phys, hold X and she'll cast fireball) Not all artes apply to this (those have a sword for their icon)

CPU-Bind: Knock the enemy down when linked with Milla. Milla will pick them up and bind them in place for you to beat on them

Alvin: Player-Charge. Use an art and hold the artes button. Alvin will basically do mighty charge and turn his artes into over the top amazing artes.

CPU-breaker. Guard breaks an enemy after it blocks so many attacks from you when you're linked with Alvin.

Ellise: Player-Tipo on/off: Press in the right stick to switch her from tipo on/off. In tipo on mode she heals more and deals more magic dmg and has less cast time when you give her her "wizard" skills (you should equip every tipo related skill anyways). Seeing as shes the healer......yeah tipo on all day. In tipo off she deals alot more phys dmg and her physical artes gain more range/knockback etc. But healer. Sooooooooooooo......

CPU-Tipo Drain: Ellise randomly drains TP and HP and gives it to herself and you when you link with her.

Leia: Player-Stick Extension:Just like Jude's. Backstep at the right moment and her stick will increase in size. You can also equip a skill to make this (and Jude's teleport) happen upon flash guarding (guarding an enemy's attack the exact moment it connects)

CPU-Item Steal. Knock the enemy over while linked to Leia and Leia will steal from it. If her portrait doesn't appear on the screen and she doesn't say anything then she failed to steal.

Rowen: Player-(dunno the exact name lol):You can control rowen's spells after casting them, and some of them require you to press buttons in a rhythm-like fashion for increased dmg/hits

CPU- Auto Magic Guard. If you're linked to Rowen he'll automatically magic guard spells for both you and him.

I ordered this today, should get it in about a week.
