Sengoku Basara RP
The Sengoku Period.
War and rebellion has spread throughout the lands. With the shogun's
power all but gone, samurai lords do battle in hopes of claiming the country
for themselves. It is a time of loss, betrayal, sacrifice, schemes,
revenge and heavy burdens for all to bare.
This is the story of men who gain great fame in this time of bloodshed.
------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Kyoto
A loud clang rang throughout the castle as a well armored
man faced off against three demonic looking men. One of the three, who was armed with a long
sword, charged and knocked the opposing man’s sword out of his hand. Befor the man could reach for it the other
two armed with spears blocked his path and placed their spears to his throat.
"W-what is the meaning of this? Do you have any
idea who I am? I am Ashikaga Yoshiteru, the shogun.""I know who you are," a man stepped into the room nonchalantly,
"And that's exactly why I'm here."
"Matsunaga...Hisahide."
"I'm honored. To think that my name would be known by the Kendo
Shogun of all people." Matsunaga held out his hand. The sword-wielder of
the three picked up the shogun's sword, returned it to its sheathe, and placed
it in Matsunaga's outstretched hand. “What
a marvelous sword. Truly it was worth
the trip.”
Yoshiteru scowled and shouted, “Do you mean to tell me you
came here just for that sword? You’d
take up arms against the shogun for such a thing? This land is ravaged by battle everyday and all
you care about is a sword?”
Matsunaga unsheathed and examined the shogun's sword. He then looked
at the shogun and asked, "Do you know what gives something its
value? Perhaps if I explain you’ll understand my position better. The first is a name," One of the
spearmen left the room while Matsunaga explained himself, "Without a name
there can be no identity. If you and I had no name or title, then there
would be nothing to identify us and as such nothing to attach our achievements
to. And without a name this counrty is just a mound of land."
"The second is history," Matsunaga continued speaking while the
second spearman left, "Time allows people to create their own
stories. Their own legends. Their own legacies. The same can
be said for objects. A newborn baby has no such history and therefore no
such worth. This country, for example, has a rich history behind
it and this era will someday become part of that history."
"And the final thing that gives something its value," the swordsman
left during Matsunaga's speech, "is its current condition. If
something is too broken down or beaten down then there is no value in obtaining
it." Matsunaga stepped towards the shogun as he spoke,
"Conversely, if something is kept in perfect condition, without any
scratch or blemish, then you may as well possess a newborn. Tell me, in
what condition do you find this country?"
Brow furrowed, the shogun gave his answer through clenched teeth,
"...Broken...is that what you want me to say?" But he was taken
aback by Matsunaga's ominous chuckle.
"Not at all. In fact I find this country to be in the best condition
it's ever been in. Not too scarred, yet not too unblemished," saying
nothing else, Matsunaga took his leave. When he stepped outside the
castle he was greeted by his three guards, whom he merely nodded to before
speaking to no one in particular, "However, what is broken beyond
repair," Matsunaga snapped his fingers and instantaneously the castle
exploded and became a towering inferno, "is the powerless man who still
calls himself 'shogun.' Rest in peace. You are no longer
needed."

- Spoiler:
- I'm guessing my first post was kinda confusing. I was just setting the stage/establish the villain. For now just establish your characters and we'll take it from there.

Tosa, Shikoku
BOOOM!!! The explosion rocked the ship violently. The lookout is jarred from his sleep. Panicking that something should be happening on his watch he sounds the alarm.
"We're under attack! All hands on deck!" he shouts, scanning the waters expecting to see an enemy ship. To his suprise he sees nothing.
"Avast ye! Ya bummblin' squiffy!" shouts another sailor. "There ain't no scallywags about. It be Kayaku-kun mixin' 'is bombs again! Get back to yer post 'afore ya wake Aniki with yer nonsense!"
The lookout looks towards the ship's quarters. The door has blown off its hinges and smoke is pouring out. A soot stained figure emerges from the coughing and waving off smoke. It is a European teenager standing a head taller than his crewmates. Brushing himself off he calls out apologetically.
"*cough* All is well, companheiros! I very sorry to disturb!" He says in broken japanese.

"Ah! Aniki! so sorry for the damage, but I believe I am close to being done with new invention. Water-soluble gunpowder!" said Sebastian beaming with pride. "or maybe I am meaning water-proof?"

"Let's hope so," Motochika remarked, "Anyway as long as you make something cool I'm sure it's worth a little explosion or two."

Re: Sengoku Basara RP
"Did you hear sir?" a priest of Kono said rushing into a dim light room Tsuruyoshi was reading in. "Matsunaga has killed the Shogun and razed his castle to the ground!"
"Is that so." Tsuruyoshi blandly said not looking up from his book. "Unfortunate."
"Sir! This is terrible news! How can you-"
"Remain so calm? Because If I dont, how do you think she will react?" he said looking at the priest with a cold irritated look.
"S-sir! My apologies! I cant believe I had forgotten how our little Oracle can get!" the priest said bowing.
"Dont worry about it, just dont go causing a scene. She may-"
"YOSHIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIII~" a voice too familair to Tsuruyoshi shouted as a young girl ran into the room.
"........hear us." he finished his sentence.
