Nintendo 3DS

The more time goes by, the more I am really excited for this damn thing! It has so many good games coming out on it in spring (in japan, but most of them are guaranteed localizations) Starfox 64, Mario Kart, and PAPER MARIO 3DS (OH MY GOD YES) were revealed this morning. Those are all nintendo trademarks. 100% givens on localization. Blazblue Continuum Shift 2 was also revealed this morning (with a screen shot of platinum kicking ragna's ass), so i'll be getting that. So now my list of 3DS games im definetely getting are:

Tales of the Abyss (confirmed for a spring release in japan, and If they have ANY lick of common sense, they'll release it in the US.)
Star Fox 64
Paper Mario 3DS
Shin Megami Tensei Devil Survivor Overclock
Super Street Fighter 4
Blazblue Continuum Shift 2


Now all we need is a new advance wars. Or a remake of the 2nd one or dual strike. And golden sun 4.

The problem is, it costs 300 dollars....

Otherwise I'd be just as excited.

Though I'm not really all that excited for the 3d stuff anyway. Just the games for it.

Im just slowly paying it off, 20 bucks a month. So when its ACTUALLY released, it'll just be like fully paied off~150 bucks.

That and im in gamestop's power rewards thing, so I got like a billion points towards this, so I can get it 30 bucks off if I dont wanna save the points for something else.

Still. My job pays shit. And I gotta save money for books, food and beer.

Plus there's the money to buy the games too. Who knows how much they'll cost.

Well, beer will be a problem for me in 3 months. lol.

Also remember they'll be milking the hell outta trade in deals for it at the start. But just dropping 300 bucks is ass, but as long as the games on the system are worth it, then I dont mind. So as of now, im all for getting the 3DS (now the thing is im worried it will have region lock and abyss wont be localized)

I'll certainly try to get it, but I'm still put off by the massive price.

I could probably buy a 360 and a Wii for that price.

Though I could sell the wii and the DS and get probably 200 bucks maybe. But then I wouldn't be able to play Symphonia.

cept on the ol gamecube. If that even works.

I'll probably get it like I get most of my new consoles, a year later and 50 bucks cheaper. That or if it's released State Side before the start of the summer, I'll get it then since I"ll be back in a job.

I'd like one, but not right away. I like the new Kid Icarus game. But that's about it, so I can wait for it.

When's it come out? I need to save up, but I'd definitely trade in my DSi since the shit's useless anyways, (been two years but, im still upset from when My lite broke)

So I got bored and I looked up the list of games announced and I saw a Spliter Cell game, which is a remake of Chaos Theory. The last game of the series on the original XBOX.

Its 250 in the US. Also devil survivor is under the 23 titles that will be out by june 7th in the US. MOTHER.FUCK.YES.

We'll be getting it the 27th and those games are confirmed to be out during the launch window (which is from the March 27th to June 7th)

We got the original Destiny and Vesperia, not their remakes.

Also Abyss is a LAUNCH title for the 3DS, so that should be out long before Devil Survivor, which is NOT a launch title for the 3DS. And yet still we get that within 3 months of the system's release.

i wouldnt mind getting it but as of now waiting for actual release dates for doa and kid icarus so not sure if im gonna buy on launch.

Im gonna wait till Devil Survivor is out in the US. I already have Super Street Fighter on the PS3, so not much point in that.

So I was talking to my friends about this last night. They told me: Battery life is 5 hours for a normal game. 3 hours for a 3d one. The charger cable is about 6 inches long. And it's region locked.

I'm probably gonna skip this till the price goes down, and once a R4 is made for it, and when they come out with the inevitable 3DS lite.

The region lock is old news. And their little commercial thingy showd that you can turn off 3D, so maybe that'll extend battery life (that and not playing on the highest light setting)

No. I asked about that. Even with the 3d turned off it only lasts 5 hours.

and your surprised that it only last that long. It's got graphical abilities near or even better than the Wii and for a handheld it's gonna be a battery drainer.

Be glad it's not like the early 90's when colored handhelds only got 5 hours of battery life.
