Sucks kinda. I mean now everyone's gonna start releasing new consoles and making the rest irrelevant. It's too soon for new consoles.

Besides besides, the Wii isn't going to get any better. When you look at it that way, a new console doesn't sound so bad.

Huh, can't say I'm too excited. I'd have to wait til I hear more about. I'm glad to hear about the backwards compatibility though.
An HD system and "more powerful than a PS3 or Xbox 360"? I dunno, just sounds like it's gonna be a computer/laptop with motion sensing really. Nothing all too much for me to be excited for ATM.

Yeah this might be the first nintendo console I'm not interested in getting not because I don't think it'd be worth it just because I don't think I would find it interesting enough.

It CANT get better really. They need a console that supports updates and patches as well as higher definition graphics -_-

I'm skeptical of this new system though. I lost faith in nintendo when I realized how cheap and unfriendly they were to their customers. You all know that any DLC on a wii system is stuck to that one system for good, right? If something happens with your wii and you need a new one or you lose the license for the DLC then you gotta pay for it all again. At least PS3 has the option to transfer its user data to another if something happens. The 360 has the best backup system though.

I would have to know what games are being released for the system. As much as consoles can add to a gaming experience, it's all about the games.

This is a relatively poor example, but take the PSP over the DS. The DS has a HUGE lineup of games of various genres, but it's not made as well as the PSP. The PSP on the other hand has a lot built into the device, but it lacks a lot of games. (I know it has a lot of them, but they're very genre oriented. It's not as varied as the Ds's lineup)

As a result, I think more of the DS then the PSP.

Plus they've only announced that they're making it. It could be up to 3 years before it actually comes out. Of course, they could have been working on it for a while conversely.

Well, depending on what they're coming out with, I'm probably gonna pass on it. Has to be at least 3+ games I want for it.

The REAL problem is, now all the companies are gonna be working on new consoles. Ps4 was already allegedly being worked on.

Yeah. Which is why I'm I don't really care but predicting concerned Nintendo's new console is gonna flop.

If Microsoft and Sony were smart, they would stay off this bandwagon for a while. But since they aren't (Submits exhibit A: Motion Controls) we all know they're gonna start promoting their new consoles soon too. I figured that the new Handhelds would kinda be a mid-way thing. Like in another 3 years they'll come out with new consoles. That seems fair to me. Even the 360 which has been out for like 4 years is still innovative and current. There's not much more consoles can do. The game developers plus other technology people haven't caught up to the consoles yet.

Of course, since the companies AREN'T smart and have no real individuality, they're gonna try ripping off each other as much as possible and come out with new consoles.

And while Ps3 and 360 delivered, the Wii did not. Sure the Nintendo fanboys will buy the console, but if nintendo's expect as big a profit, then they're gonna be sorely disappointed.

Well, i would say "Cool, cause the wii sucks." But ive really stopped caring about Nintendo franchise games like Mario,Zelda,DK and Metroid. I only really care about pokemon, and thats if its REALLY pokemon. Not "Play in the park with Pikachu and Pichu!!!!" spin off faggotry bs.

Theres one thing that will make me get this, a Tales game being released on it. And I hope to god tales stays where it belongs. On the Playstation and portable systems. With REAL multiplayer support that doesn't require eight controller parts and a sensor bar and eight batterys with the remotes always disconnecting.

So yeah, im more hype for PSP2 than this. And I really dont even care MUCH about that (though i do plan to get it cause it looks nice). Wont be surprised if i just drop nintendo all together at some point outside of the DS.

Yeah. I would go for a Fire Emblem game, but there's been no word on that since that weird DS game. And I heard multiple bad things about it.

I'm looking forward to passing this one up. I would get a 3DS first probably.

Definetely. 3DS already has a solid summer lineup. I cant wait for July

Really, I know there isn't much info on it. But AT LEAST give it some time until there's more about it.

I'm probably gonna end up getting it whether I like it or not, I still play GC games. And I still play on the wii alot, though all my downloaded stuff probably isn't going anywhere. ; ;

I'm just skeptical over the idea. I approach everything negatively until it can prove it's worth. At least when I've been harmed by the corporation behind it before.

EX: Tales of Xillia. As much as I WANT it to come to the Americas, I know it's probably a 20% chance for localization. Maybe 30% on a really good day. Also, I'm thinking that there's probably a decent 40% chance that Graces will be canceled for US, or at the least postponed.

To be completely honest, the 'looking forward to passing it up" was a typo. It was a mix of looking forward to getting the 3DS, and 'I'm gonna pass on this one.'
