Its not Devil Survivor Overclocked, its Devil Survivor TWO. Its going to be a normal DS title (possibly a enhanced 3DS version will be made too, like they did with Pokemon Black and White with the enhanced DSi version) Theres 13 characters this time around, and no word on if the original cast will return.

Not a clue. Then again, it would be so wrong to say that Overclock, Catherine AND Devil Survivor 2 wont hold us over till P5.

ALso, its comming out in the summer for japan, which means Winter or early spring release for the US most likely.

Well I think I might end up passing on Overclock for a while, just because I'm not that into the 3ds. I would end up getting PsP2 first.

But Catherine and Devil Survivor 2 are sure to hold me over. I'm not thinking that they're being lazy ((Like Bethesda and New Vegas DLC)), but as a fan of the Persona series, I'd like to hear an update on that.

I managed to try out the 3DS yesterday since we have one of them unboxed for display purposes, not going to lie it kinda gives you a headache after awhile and the full 3D thing messes with your eyes a bit.

On the subject of a sequel to Devil Survivor I am stocked for a new one, I played the first devil survivor to death and enjoyed every minute of it. Hopefully this one will have as much replay value as the first one.

Its already been said you should only play it at half 3D effect.

Not that that's a bad thing. But I'm not too impressed.
Hero looks alright. I'm not a big fan of his hair, but that'll just take some getting used to.
Or, it could be that it's a younger version of Vincent. Poor guy had a rough life apparently.

Io looks good though. Kinda like Yuzu without the bitchyness aspects.

Eidt: Also, I did mean Cain. Abel returning would be nice, but Cain is like, the main antagonist in the first one. So he should show up.

At the very least Loki's GOT to show up. He's just one of those characters that would show up in everything related.

Io looks like she could be a TOTAL bitch, but in the "Im superior to all of you cretins" way, not whiny bitch Yukari/Yuzu way. Id be fine with it though

Dachi looks nothing like Atsuro. If anything he looks like Kenji and Yosuke's bastard child with Ryoji's scarf. Dachi looks like hes gonna be awesome, but his scared face is fuckin creepy.

Devil Survivor creator Shinjiro Takada confirmed today in the japanese devil survivor blog that this game has absolutely no connection to DS1 or Overclocked (if anyone thought that day 8 would be hinting at DS2)

He also stated why Devil Survivor 2 is releasing a mere 3-5 months in japan after just announcing its existence to the public a day ago and why its DS and not 3DS. Turns out Devil Survivor 2 has been in development for over 2 years already.

In news of Overclock, he stated that they are putting it on 3DS in hopes of it getting good sales from people who missed the original Devil Survivor, seeing as it would be the 3DS' 1st JSRPG (and even if they just pretied the game up, devil survivor got a 9.1 in its review. they really cant go wrong), but he also said they are making complete sure to make the game worth playing again if youve played the previous devil survivor with the 8th day and other little extra new things and tweaks, so thats ensuring. I can trust atlus to deliver to their fans.

Though im sure that we wont get DS2 as soon. I noticed japan has no release date for JP Overclocked, where we have a june release, they have a june/july (MAYBE AUGUST) release for DS2. Makes sense, america is tryin to give the 3DS games actually worth playing (Hurry up overclocked and Resident Evillllllllll) where japan already has tales of the abyss headed to the 3DS in a mere month and 3 weeks.

It would be cool if we got the other version on the same date, like they got Overclocked the day we get 2. But that wouldn't happen lol

I'm still really torn on getting 3DS though. As much as I want Overclocked and Abyss, I'm not sure if it's worth the buy. The only thing the 3DS seems to add is the 3d element. And I'm not sure if I'm willing to spend all that money on it.

Plus, most of the action in devil survivor happened on the touch screen anyway. Where they aren't gonna even do 3d. Lol. I'd hate to buy the 3DS for one game and just have the stats for my demons in 3d while all the cool stuff is in touch screen-o-vision.

BUT someone in my club said that he was gonna bring in his 3DS to our next meeting so I could try it out and see if the 3d is even worth it. If I'm impressed, then I'll consider buying it.

But for now, I'll wait till the price drops. And for Devil Survivor 2.

The demons are on the top screen now if i recall. So we can have Keisuke's arm launching out of the screen.

Hes not, DS2 has no relation to 1. He looks pretty different anyhow outside of the last pic with Io's Chest them and the cards.

As for Loki, he HAS to show up again XD

If Loki doesn't show up, I would be very disappointed in him.

He should show up looking exactly the same, and still called: "Giggalo."

Loki can't die, so it's VERY possible he could return in some form.

I can't imagine his demon profile would be left out of it anyway.

Thats 13 main characters. thats a pretty good roster. Though DS 1 also had 13 main characters (IF you counted black frost) and they said the game is supposed to have a larger cast than the 1st one.

Well, im hype for this again. Its gonna be really hard to not look at anything when the jp version comes out in 2 months
