Persona 4 RP Story/Dungeon

"Beats me." Stefan said, wiping sweat from his brow. "I dunno what's gotten into him, if it's an act, or if he's being controlled, or whatever. What I do know, is that he's putting Yomiko's life at risk. If it ends up a choice between one of them dying, I'm not holding back on him." He sighed deeply. "I do have some good news though. We have an edge."

"Eh? What?" Karin asked.

"One, and it didn't sound like he knew about this, but my persona's changed too. Under different circumstances. Essentially, I'm stronger all around, and he doesn't know about it. We can use that to get the upper hand. ...Unfortunately, I'm not too familiar with my own strength either." He reached around his belt and pulled out three bottles. "Second, these. Over the past three days I've been making tea with the fox's leaves. Think of them as energy green tea. It'll give us an extra boost when we need it." Stefan held them out for the two. "Kinda ironic that I was only able to make three. Three days, three drinks, ....three of us."

"Nice," Karin said taking a can, "so what you're saying is no matter what he throws at us, we'll be ready."

"Yeah. No matter what, he's not winning." Masuyo said. "I still see him as a friend........so I dont want to kill him....." Masuyo said sadly. "But if he as so much scratches Yomiko.......i'll lose it again and probably will nearly kill him. Damn it!"

Karin put a hand on Masuyo's shoulder and gave a reassuring smile, "It's gonna be okay. I promise. I won't let him hurt Yomi."

"Heh. Thanks." Masuyo said with a small smile. They arrived at the entrance to the old battlefield dungeon. "Aaaaand the fucking faggot boat returns." Masuyo said scowling at the shortcut boat. "Get on guys"

Karin raised an eyebrow and stepped on the boat, "What's wrong? You get seasick or something?"

"It just sucks. Complete ass." he said grumbling.

"...You know, do you think the persona has something to do with this?" Stefan asked. "I mean....his persona is Lucifer, right? Who is known for being the angel who betrayed god and was cast down into hell. Do you think that his persona is controlling him? ...Or maybe the persona should have been an indication of his betrayal..."

"Huh......that would make sense as to why he had angel, and then got Lucifer right when Yomi got invovled in this shit." Masuyo said. "Things are looking more and more against this guy the more we think about it." he said scowling.



"Hrnnn.......what the. Where the heck am I?" Yomiko said as she came to.

"Betrayal," Karin repeated, "I know he abandoned us before, but outright betrayal? That's just too much. Aniki taught us better than..." Karin stopped herself and stared down at the floor.

"Good morning," Shinta said, "I trust you had a peaceful sleep?"

"Y-you!" Yomiko shouted standing up. "What the hell are you doing!?"

"You okay?" Stefan placed a hand on Karin's shoulder. "Still...why Yomiko? What about her set Lucifer off? .....Wait, didn't Karin get her Persona the same day?"

Shinta chuckled, "Now, now is that any way to greet me after all the trouble I went through for this? There will be time for questions once we get inside. I have much to prepare for Masuyo and the others." Shinta smirked as he opened the doors to the building in front of him and Yomiko. Shinta flipped the light switch and revealed the arcade to Yomiko, "Welcome to my sanctuary. Make yourself at home." At the last word Lucifer threw Yomiko inside and the doors slammed shut, an invisible force keeping them tightly closed.

Karin looked up at Stefan, "Yeah I did. Why?"

"Aggh! Damn it!" Yomiko shouted as she began to pound on the door. "That bastard!"

"Maybe it's not Yomiko that set him up at all. Maybe it was you. Er. No offense." Stefan said. "...What exactly happened between you two?"

"Such unladylike behavior," Shinta said shaking his head, "well, I guess this is fine. Now then, I assume you have a lot of questions like 'Where am I?' or 'Why are you doing this?' or 'Did you do anything to me while I was unconscious?' and the like, but I'd like to ask you something first: Do you recall seeing your Shadow as you slept?"

"Go to hell!" is all Yomiko replied with.

"I'm hurt, and here I thought we should tell each other things like this." Shinta mocked, "No matter, there are other ways to find out what happened."

"Well to put it bluntly, we were in a gang together," Karin explained, "but it wasn't a bad gang! Aniki believed that we should help people that the police wouldn't or couldn't. You know, like a vigilante group. We'd protect people getting shook down, mess with drug trades we heard about and did our best to look out for each other. But one day we got called to meet another gang, we had a bad history with them but it looked like we were gonna make peace, but it was a trap. The only one waiting for us was the police. When they arrested us, I saw Raiha off in the distance and called for him. I thought he'd help us, but instead he ran. I asked him about it after you saved Yomi and he said he was scared. That he decided that he didn't want to be involved with us since he was moving the next day. That's when I lost it. He just decided to discard his bond with us so easily. I couldn't..."

"Tch. He doesn't value us." Masuyo said kicking the side of the boat. "He sold you guys out Karin." he said to her. "Thats what his shadow was. Something about him always going from town to town, joining different gangs and when he had his kicks and they were gone, he'd sell out his current crew to the cops, change his identity and skip town. I thought he had turned over a new leaf.......I mean it seemed so genuine with his shadow and all........DAMN IT!!!!"

"Scared, huh? Sounds like he was right when he said we were similar...." Stefan reflected. "Well, if he's gonna pull shit like this, we'll give him a reason to be scared." He saw the sullen look on Karin's face. "Or, we'll get him back to normal. ....I believe in Shinta."

"He...what?" Karin said falling back, "No that can be right that's...that's..."

A lie? A voice whispered in her head.

"Fuck." Masuyo said. "I.....I still want to believe hes my friend. I don't wanna kill him. Now im not gonna lie im gonna kick his ass to high heaven for doing this to Yomi, but I don't want him to die."

"What can't be right? That he's like me?" Stefan said, staring at Karin. "Come on, I'm not THAT bad."
