"Yeah, you're right. It was bad enough just going in once, but twice in one day, then again the next sounds like torture. Still," Karin stuck a fist out in Stefan's direction, "if it does happen, at least you'll have me and Yomi to back you guys up, right?"

"Heh. I'm counting on it." Stefan smiled and did a fist bump with her. "Seriously though, you're okay?"

"Huh? Y-yeah I'm fine," Karin said, "What you thought I'd be all shaken up about what happened back there? Come on, I'm made of sterner stuff than that." Karin gave an unconvincing laugh.

"You don't have to act tough. Shinta was a close friend of all of us. I'm not ashamed to admit I'm hurt." He rubbed her back. "You two were even closer than that...it's okay to let it show."

"I just," Karin began shaking and clutched herself, "I don't know what to believe. He betrayed us, but he helped us. He taunted us, but he encouraged us. I don't...know which one to believe..." Karin struggled to hold back her tears but could no longer hold back. She buried her head in Stefan's chest and sobbed uncontrollably.

"..." Stefan was taken aback, but held her close, rubbing her back, saying nothing. "....Just let it all out...I'm here for you..."

"So......what exactly happened?" Masuyo said standing in Yomiko's room with a panicked Nene and Tsubasa.

"She suddenly collapsed!" Nene shouted

"And she looks really pale. Is she coming down with something?" Tsubasa said worried.

"This is YOUR fault!" Nene said poking Masuyo forcefully with her pointer finger. "if you didn't run off, she wouldn't have spent all day looking for you! Shes exhausted because of YOU!"

"LISTEN." Masuyo said forcefully grabbing Nene's wrist. "YOU dont know SHIT about what happened! This wasn't because of me! I was out there risking my life for her alright!? She was in danger you could NEVER imagine! So get the fuck off of my back!!!"

"Danger, that she would have avoided if she WASNT LOOKING FOR YOU!" Nene shouted shoving Masuyo back.

.......god damn it. I cant say shes wrong. Even now, you're still causing my life to crumble into pieces Shinta. You fucking son of a bitch. I'll never forgive you for this!!!! "Okay. You're right. You win. Im going back to my room now." Masuyo said as he began to exit Yomiko's room.

"No! I want an explanation!" Nene said blocking the door.

Masuyo's eye twitched. He was at his wits end. "Listen. And Listen good. One, you are NOT my mother, unless you're a crackhead who doesn't give two fucking shits about her own son alright!? And two, if you don't shut your goddamn mouth, you'll regret it. You're whining and moaning and bitchin about Yomi's condition. Then what the fuck are you standing in here yelling for!?"

"YOU'RE YELLING AT ME TOO-" Nene started until Masuyo swatted her out of his way into a bookshelf. "Agggh!" she shouted as she fell over in pain.

"Wha.......how could you do that!?" Tsubasa shouted at Masuyo. He merely just left the room without looking back. This is why. This is why! No matter how they appear or act, men always use force! They never listen to our side! I hate them......I hate them so much.......Ne-chan.......

Masuyo slammed the door to his room as he fell over next to his bed and began hitting the floor. "Goddamn it! Im losing it. I thought everything was fine. I was sure I didn't care anymore! All that mattered was that Yomi was safe! Im a fucking wreck, Karin is probably a wreck, Kentaro is still out cold, now Yomi is out cold, and god knows how Stefan is taking this. This is all your fault!" he said hitting the ground some more. "And he's still alive! He gets to live after all the lives of people who did NOTHING to him were ruined by him just on a whim! I............I cant accept this. How are we going to make any progress like this!? He was right! We aren't accomplishing shit! DAMN IT!" he shouted as he broke into tears. "I hate this! I hate this life so much! I should have stayed dead back then! AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAGGGGGGGGHHHHHHHHHHHH!!!!!!!!!!" he shouted clutching his head as he stormed outside into the rainstorm.

Karin stopped crying and wiped her eyes, "Thanks. That was a little embarrassing though."

"Hey, couldn't be worse than the shadow right?" Stefan smiled. "I-I'm here for you if you need me."

"Guess you're right," Karin laughed weakly before hugging Stefan tightly, "...Thank you...so much."

"Ah. Er." Stefan's face turned red, then he returned the hug. "N-no p-p-problem." He looked at the clock. "It's only ten minutes to midnight. I don't think I would make it to Masuyo's place in time....Mind if I stay here till then?"

Karin smiled and replied, "I'd like that. I really would."

"Ah. O-okay." Stefan blushed a little more. "S-so...um..."

"What?" asked Karin.

"Er. I dunno. I'm not sure what to say." Stefan laughed nervously.

"It's fine, you don't have to say anything." Karin made her way to the couch, sat down and motioned to Stefan, "I doubt you wanna stand up all night."

"Y-yeah. Thanks." Stefan sat down next to her. He smiled.

Karin smiled back at him and leaned on his shoulder.

"Sorry...about all the times when I've been difficult to deal with..." Stefan said. He cautiously wrapped an arm around her and rubbed her shoulder.

Masuyo sat at the samegawa river bank taking shelter under a small park bench with a roof over it.

".......this is where I saw that helpless bird those years ago. It had no idea what to do........it couldn't do anything......just.....completely helpless........like ME!" he shouted grabbing his head. "What am I supposed to do!? Damn it. Damn it damn it damn it. I should calm down. Yeah. Thats what I should do......" he said quieting down, but his body trembled more and more. "Hehe......hahahah........it hurts. So much. Im still hurt physically, my mind is shattering.........hahahhaha...........I have......I have to kill him. Thats all there is to it hehehehahahahaha!" Masuyo shouted as he slowly rose to his feet. "Then all the hurting will stop!"

"No it wont!" Yomiko shouted running up to Masuyo. She panted then fell to her knees.

"Yomi........WHAT ARE YOU DOING RUNNING AROUND IN THE RAIN!?" Masuyo shouted kneeling over to grab her.

"The same could be said to you!!!" she shouted at him hitting him on the head. "And whats this crap about killing him!?"

"I have to! I have to kill shinta! Everything is falling apart because of him!!! It'll fix everything! Do you remember what he did to you!?" he shouted

"Yes I do, and it wont fix anything! You'll just feel worse........your mind will break down more than it already is! You'll crumble with guilt over time Masuyo...I know you aren't the type to kill someone in cold blood! You'll feel bad and start to hate yourself! I dont want that! What if you kill yourself out of guilt!? Then what!? What reason do I have to want to stay here if that happens!?" she said shaking him by his shoulders.

"B-but.....Shinta-AAAAGH!" Masuyo started as Yomiko rammed her knee into his gut.

"Stop that! "Shinta this, Shinta that." You're just blaming every problem on Shinta! Yes I know your mind is all over the place now since you saw him as your best friend, but you have me now! You have US! Why cant you just move on *cough *cough*

"...........im pathetic." was all Masuyo muttered as Yomiko began coughing louder. "Yomi!"

"Hehe.......maybe im stupid too." she said with a weak smile. "Just......don't do anything stupid. Oh, and don't go home. Unless you want to kill Nene, she's still going on and on about this." she added as she passed out in Masuyo's arms.

"*sigh* Thank you so much for delivering such a woman to me." Masuyo said looking up at the rainy sky. "God knows I dont deserve her caring about me in the least." he added as he weakly got up carrying Yomiko. "I need *cough* to get her out of her *cough *cough* clothes or she'll get sick, er, worse than she already *cough* is." he said as he began to sprint through the rain. He arrived at Shinta's at 11:55. "Home is too far away. I need to get her dry. Good thing I left my other spare of clothes here." he said as he laid Yomiko on the sofa. "................................ITS ONLY SO SHE DOESNT GET PNEUMONIA!!!!" he shouted outloud to himself as he began to lift her shirt up. His hands were trembling. "........oh god............oh fuck..............wait! I saw her at the pool. I'll just pretend its just a swimsuit!" he said reassuring himself.

After changing Yomiko he looked over at Shinta who was still out on the ground. "...........Hey." he said sitting next to him. "I know you're there. Why you gotta be so roundabout? You're always like that." he said to Shinta's body. "I've decided. You're still my friend." he said shedding a single tear. "It was all those other yous in your head wasn't it?"

"Don't worry about it," Karin said smiling, " it's not like I'm perfect. Everyone has their moments. Lord knows I've had more than a few."

"Yeah...I'm going to do better now though. I know what I want to do with myself." Stefan smiled. "At the very least, I'm not gonna cause any more trouble. And if I do, then I'm going to do whatever I need to fix it. ....First, I ought to apologize to Yomi...I kinda forced her into this...I know it's been bothering her..."

Karin nodded, "I'm sure she'd like that. And let me know if there's anyway I can help."

"*cough cough!!* Ugh." Masuyo groaned clutching his chest. "I feel like shit. Fucking rain." He saw that it was midnight. "Just....stay concious long enough to see......" he said as the tv flickered on

"Thanks Karin. I....really appreciate it." Stefan held her a little closer.
