Tales of Academy

It's that time again folks. Time for me to try and start a Tales RP, but this one has a twist. Much like what Rozen proposed waaaaaaaaaay back when this takes place in a High School AU where the various Tales characters are students and teachers. The goal of the school: To raise is students to become the next best Tales Heroes. Basically it's like this: We make our own characters and have them enroll in the school alongside other Tales characters. The courses range from slightly serious (gym for combat, theater for skits, cooking for...well cooking) to just plain poking fun at the series (Shouting Names 101, What To Do When You're In Prison, Betraying the Party). This is just a proposal for now to see who'd be interested. If you have any questions feel free to ask 'n all that.

for skits, would it be with just other tales characters and us or just the people doing this rp? besides I would actually be willing to do this one unlike how I been with the others

Actually, a week or two ago I kinda wanted to do a Tales RP or something. So I'm totally down.
I'm not too keen on the school aspect of it, it seems more like a high school anime RP then a Tales one, but hell I'll give it a shot. I'm in.

I like the Tales idea, but not the high school part. school-life anime drive me crazy after awhile... I'm not really sure how it'd work out anyway. *never went to a real high school*D:

Sorry, I'll give it a few months to see how it is before I decide to join or not.

Just think of it as the school that lolyd and collete are from and go from there, or a school like negima would be funny

Now, is it JUST going to be a school thing? Or will there be some kind of over-arching plot, with some small adventures? Cause if it's just school, we kinda have that coming up in the P4 RP. Not to say that it wouldn't work in the Tales RP, BUT for diversity's sake, some variation would be nice.

Even if a majority of it is school, I would still want some kind of variation with like field exercises.
I resist making this comparison, but kinda like the beginning of Naruto, where they're still learning, but going out and doing missions too.

Also school in P4 is going to not be important. Its just there to show that time is actually passing. Not like we can do anytyhing in school that we cant do outside of it (IE:Sit around doing nothing, or thinking to ourselves) Only real use of p4 school I see is to use field trips for the next group outing.

Okay, that sounds fun. Is there going to be some over-arcing plotline to it? Or is it just gonna be a series of events that happen? Either way it's fine with me, but I'm curious.

Only one character? Or are we sticking with the unwritten rule of only 2?

Although, I guess I should let you work out these details before I hound you for answers.

I already plan to make a 2 people, since theres tales things you can only have a female participate in, and since Kilvas isn't really into the idea im making a chick

Yeah, I was going to make a female to start. Probably just rip the idea of my character from the old Vesperia RP.

Maybe make some modifications.

Hey Ellise is gonna be in this obviously. I cant live without her presence anymore.

Since it looks like this is getting decent support I'm just gonna throw out this proposal for a sign-up. Let me know how it looks and/or if there's anything you'd like to add.

Class/Fighting Style: Magic Swordsman/Archer/Summoner (rather wants to be a Summoner.)
Physical description: Slightly less than average height. Toned. Tanned skin with red eyes. Long white hair in a ponytail with bangs. Wears a blue longsleeve shirt under a red sleeveless shirt and navy pants with black boots..
Personality: Driven and hard-working. Strives to earn the title of Protagonist (think Honor Student). Can be overly competitive and is quick to anger, but ultimately a good person.

Name: Lucianna (Often called Lucy for short) Pellep
Age Group/Grade: 19
Class/Fighting Style: Thief class, fast, accurate, fights with a dagger.
Physical description: She wears a dark leather armor with a yellow shirt underneath. She also wears a yellow scarf around her neck that trails behind her to keep her warm. She has a long ponytail, it being of a dark raven color.
Personality: Often times she tries to impress, acting as if she were on the top of the class, despite her grades being below average. She makes up for it in field exercise however, using the excuse that the ability to do something is more important than the studies behind it. She tends to act before thinking, which often gets her into trouble.

(Yes, it's pretty much the same character for the Vesperia RP, but I'm making her a little more social and fun.)

Also, I'm working on the second character, but I wanted to wait till others made theirs. So I don't step on any toes.

Age Group/Grade: 21

Class/Fighting Style: summoner/healer/long range - summon meatshields then sit back and heal said meat shields. and mayb a long range slow arrow inbetween...mayb.... uses magic long bow that shoots magic arrows ( cuz then he dosent hav to carry so many arrows XD)

Physical description: long snow white hair in a ponytail that falls in front and crimson eyes. (he's albino lol) bishie. wears an modified onmyouji outfit.

Personality: happy-go-lucky, dosent care about much in the world and just wants to have fun. he dislikes doing stuff for school, but excels in certain areas that relate to his interests. he is also slightly cowardly in battle, prefering to be far far far away from enemies.

likes- meat shields, good alcohol and food, researching/studying for himself, thinking, solitude, friends XD

dislikes- researching/studying for school... people who hurt his friends (cuz only he/said friends can do that)

Name: Wasara

Age Group/Grade: College (19-22)

Class/Fighting Style: Magic gun user/offensive magic w/ only minor healing

Physical description: not very strong, average height, slim. straight black hair with long bangs in his face and perpetual bedhead. always wears a light pastel colored robe with some design or another over a plain colored tunic and long pants. wears sandals.

Personality: Lazy. always half asleep, cynical, likes to observe and make the occasional comment or macabre joke. not pessimistic but very resigned. hates conflict or anything else that requires effort but that doesnt stop him from saying or doing what suits him. has no reason to be in school but no reason to be anywhwere else either. loves a good drink.
