"..."Dahni looked at her with a concerned expression.

"What? You asked, so there's your answer." Maeko said, trying to set the timer on the oven.

"That just seems kinda...hollow. You're a cute, talented girl Maeko. You deserve more than that." She smiled at her.

"Yeah right..." Maeko scoffed under her breath, getting frustrated with the oven.

"I got it!" Nene said setting the oven. "Also you can live while prospering Maeko." She said. "And I agree with Dhani, get some cuter clothes and you'll have guys begging to buy you whatever you want!" She said with a wink

"...I don't wish to be gold-digger." She mumbled back. "That's it for the fish, just take it out of the oven with it's done." Maeko said walking out of the kitchen.

"I didn't say HUNT for them. I meant that guys would line up for a chance with them." Nene said with a confused look.

"No, no, no, Nene," Shinta said from the doorway shaking his head, "You're supposed to say 'You're going to make a wonderful wife someday' or something like that. Anyway the table's set so whenever you guys are ready."

"Give it a minute," said Karin, "we just put it in."

"..." Dahni walked out of the room after Maeko. "Hey...Maeko, are you okay?"

"But thats what you say to the motherly character." Nene said to Shinta pouting.

"My.....I wonder whats taking Yomi and Masu-chan........" Chiaki said. "As her guardian its got me worried."

"Like HER! Why aren't you married!?" Nene bluntly shouted at Chiaki.

"Eh? I never really had the time for relationships. What with becoming the owner of this place at such a young age and all........" she said frowning slightly.

"Teach me! I will be the extra manpower while you go find your special man!" Nene shouted grabbing Chiaki's hands.

"My my.........Nene-chan please.......this is embarrassing......." Chiaki said slightly blushing.

"...........Nazusa-nee san." Masuyo said off in the corner of the dining hall.

"Huh?" Chiaki said.

"N-nothing!" he said looking away. "I didn't say anything!"

".........why's he all stupid and Deredere over her......."

"What Yomi?" Masuyo said looking at Yomiko who was already seated.

"N-nothing!" she shouted looking away from him. "Sheesh why do you always assume Im saying things when im not! Idiot!"

"My my........you two~" Chiaki said putting her hands on her cheeks with a smile. "Get the drinks ready since you didn't help cook please."

"I would but-" Masuyo started as a loud grinding sound was heard followed by a crash.

"AAAAAAAAAAAAAAHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH!!!!!!!!!!!!!"

"........Tsubasa's trying to make fruit smoothies." he said lowering his head in shame.

"In the rec hall. She said she wanted it to be a surprise but........yeah." Yomiko said shaking her head.

Maeko stopped and turned to Dahni. "Why do you ask?"

"You just seem...I mean...why are you so hostile when people compliment you?" She asked in a hushed tone.

"..I wasn't hostile. There's just alot on my mind. As you can see, I'm not much of a people person. At all."

"Well, what's on your mind then? Can I help? Or any of us really." Dahni smiled at her.

"..It's nothing. No offense, but you can't expect me to bleed my heart out to someone I've known for such a short amount of time." Maeko replied, taking off her hat, and crossing her arms.

"..Is this about Toshiyuki?" Dahni asked.

"..." Maeko kept quiet and looked away, she began walking towards the kitchen. "..the fish should be done."

She grabbed her by the shoulder. "Listen...It's none of my business, but if you need someone to talk to..I'm willing to help in whatever way I can. I want to show you what it means to have a real friend." She smiled. "You're the only person that visited me at the hospital. Well, other than my parents of course. But still. If you need to talk to someone, don't hesitate. Everyone here, is here for you."

"..Fine." Maeko sighed. "Real friend..that's exactly when he said to him.." Maeko shrugged Dahni's hand off and proceeded to walk to the kitchen.

"..." She frowned, but decided to drop the subject for now, following her back into the kitchen.

AS Maeko walked in the kitchen, she took the fish out of the oven and placed the fish on a large plate. She paced an individual piece of basil on each one and handed it to Dahni who was behind her. "Place this on the dining table."

"I'll go see if I can help Tsu-chan." Kentaro says jumping up at the sound of the crash.

"Hey every thing alright in here Tsu-chan?"

"Yes! Leave!" Tsubasa shouted with yogurt on her face.

"...Well," Shinta said with an awkward cough, "since the fish is done, you guys wanna just..."

"No." Karin objected, "We're waiting until she's done."

"Why?"

"It'd be rude not to wait after going through so much trouble."

"...Fine." Shinta said with a sigh of defeat.

"Well i'd say ill check but I just heard her shout at Kentaro to leave sooooo......" Masuyo said looking around.

"Maybe Kentaro is harasing her." Yomiko said trying not to snicker.

"KILLLLLLLLL!!!!!!" Masuyo shouted running off with a fork in his hand
